I might be late to this, but did the wildcat tour’s get heavier? I seem to remember my 18/19 pair weighing in under 1750g a ski?

The small variance in weight is because we are now using a different base and sidewall material.

Yep, agreed. Just a great bunch of guys who are really into the products they're selling. Moment has done great by teaming up with these guys over here.

So it sounds like the Commanders have gotten a lot heavier this year. About +300 grams for the 188 108?

My wife got excited when she was listening and realized the Bella’s that she bought shortly before the season was cancelled are the women's version of the Wildcat.

Really want to try the Commander 98, go fast take chances.

Great podcast and always exciting hearing more about ski design and development from Moment. Stoked on the new sidewalls and base materials, sounds like a real improvement.

But this logic I do not follow:

Puts tour core in old commander design.
They think it sucks because it has too much taper (not surprised).
Made changes to old commander tour to help develop the new heavy commander design.
Adds more effective edge, longer radius, and makes it more directional (YAY!).
Releases new commander to the masses...
... but doesnt release a Commander Tour based on the new design, when the Commander Tour was the main catalyst for the redesign.

Why? The TGR trolls want to know

The Jonathan / Luke dynamic is always a good start to ski season.

That is the binding that should be sold with Frankenblades by default (or the Warden demo). You got to be able to share blades. Plus when you're hiking for your summer turns with them need to be able to run AT boots.

Please someone post Frankenblades with a CAST setup.

Everything that we test is not intended to be a production ski. Sometimes we just trying things to see how they work.

Once we made a few tour revisions all focus was put on the non-tour Commander and the tour variation wasn't touched again.

We don't have enough time with the tour Commander yet and it's not ready to go to production with our stamp of approval.

Maybe we will play with it more this winter...

The Deathwish is usually the only ski in my quiver without demo bindings. I feel you.

Got it, thanks for clarifying. I can appreciate the fact that you guys don't release a ski until its been fully tested. Stoked to get the new Commander 108!
