It’s currently playing host to the South Carolina junior invitational tournament and is playing brutally tough.

Our house is actually nestled among Trent Jones’ Ocean course but I’ll head across the neighborhood to AH every time. I love this course.

Re: Plantations, Sea Pines ditched it in favor of Resort as did Palmetto Dunes about 10 years ago. Only a handful are still referred to as plantations and they tend to be the ones that lie on former plantations.

Ah, that brings back some memories. Due to a favorable breeze, the signature par 5 on the Robert Trent Jones PD course was the first par 5 I ever reached in two strokes. I remember it distinctly because I then proceeded to three putt for par.

The Hills course has the nice driving range and chipping/putting facilities too, right? I used to love cruising over there on my bike with a few clubs across the handlebars.

And yes, I'm aware that my "shit all over the south" hypocrisy is showing as I wax nostalgic for HHI.

Yep, AH has the nice practice facilities. Gets 1/3 the play of RTJ’s Ocean Course too which makes it easy to get in 18 then have our son join us for twilight golf.

    Nice sunrise this morning

Only way I'm running out of the house at 5:45 AM is if it's on fire.

You know you live in a rural area when you drive to the local grocery and there is a tractor in the parking lot.

Heh. Used to see that a lot more in rural VT. And that's a glorified lawn tractor.
