Just replace black and white with poor and rich and you'd come to the same conclusion, so not sure race is the real differentiator here.

I haven't read the article (yet), but have read his books. Just another example of how nobody (meaning a lot of smart people who actually did) could see this thing coming. Of course Trump can't read a daily briefing let alone a book, and the only reason he finally acted (too little, too late) was because Brix and Fauci showed him losts of pretty pictures.

I've always thought that the godawful daily stress a black person has to deal with all their lives in America has to count for a few years lost.

I LOVE me some soul food and all, but there are multiple reasons that COVID's hitting black communities harder as a raw percentage. Being multiple contributing factors that give rise to comorbidities. As a generalization, it's mostly basic white bitches that be into Yoga or [insert trendy exercise fad here] or veganism or [insert trendy diet fad here]. Again, talking generalizations here. Culturally speaking, what's it like in the most white bread, crunchiest parts of the PNW versus the most soulful parts of the Deep South?
It is posts like this that reinforce why people think you are a clueless ass, and white conservatives in general are clueless asses.

Maybe your next employment will be as a bootstrap salesman. I here the black community is really running short on these.

Sure, but it’s a lot more fun to be black and white.

I think the census data needs a fat ass white category.

Anyway to get back to this topic: I hope they'll allow tourists in Ireland this summer. I would love some mid range covid 12-14 (which would be more than to expect in Europe in summer) swell.

suppose I popped in at the right time, being a clueless white conservative ass; but saw this news and I wanted to be sure it made it here:

"White House Plans To "Wind Down" Coronavirus Task Force In Coming Weeks"

    https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitic...e-coming-weeks

    >>seems despite the projections of dead over 135,000 in august with the reopening of places, white house is moving on. good think too as although the bat virus infected less than 1% of the population and killed less than 1 thousandths of a percent; the bat virus depression going to affect a lot more than 1% as there are currently 30 million out of jobs over it.

but you all go ahead and go nuts that trump is killing more people trying to keep the coming recession from becoming a depression.

Ha. Sounds like you don’t know where to go. Not surprised. If you play nice, I’ll show you around next time. Pretty easy to surf by yourself around here when the period is over 12 seconds (which is like 80% of the time). Tools gonna be a tooling.

And asking, who does that benefit? It doesn't benefit the patients or their families, yet we do it routinely. Clearly there's reasons for that.

Certainly it's not all of the money that's spent on it, or perhaps even most. But it's sure as hell a lot.
Actually, no disagreement from me on that, as hutash mentions, it's what a lot of people profess to want even though they don't recognize the costs, and not just financial. I've spent plenty of hours trying to convince people they shouldn't necessarily go all out, but often as not they choose the max option, or at least their families do. It sucks, actually.

I'm all for significant changes in our system. Actually SARS CoV 2 may hasten that, hopefully for the better.
