Would people opt in to the contact tracing app if it were a condition of entry to place like Walmart, Safeway, or an office building?

Those looks are becoming reversed here. Unfortunately, I have seen far too many seniors not wearing a mask.
What really blows my mind is anyone with a front line cashiering job not wearing a mask.

Set your watch for this guy's eventual positive test: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/ca...ks/ar-BB13w8JC

Remarks aside, he should have been relieved of duty for doing a presser in an ill-fitting american flag T-shirt, ratty cargo shorts and low-sock, beat to shit trainers. No self respecting person would even mow their lawn in that get-up.

“It’s not like it used to be,” he lamented, “when you could have an opinion, talk about it and then sit down and have a beer together and talk about football."

You see, that's the problem. No sports.

Hitler got a lot of attention for his policy of killing the jews, but he also killed a lot of the disabled. The latter got him into trouble with the church, but, sadly, he didnt get too much flak from the pointy hats on the former.

So many people feel that way. This is a comment someone posted in response to a daily case update for Umatilla county OR:

If they are over 60 and have a underlying disease we don’t care anymore

And he followed up with this when people called him out:

haha plz we r ruing the economy and young people futures to save old people who maybe have 10 years left any way it’s maybe a harsh truth buts it’s the truth the overall well being of the country doesn’t depend on old sick people they are not essential to the country
Sorry if that hurts ur feelings

Funny though, an older person with some money and a pension and SS is much more valuable to our economy than somebody younger with Jack and no education and some bad habits. The ten years of spending is probably ten times more than some 30 year olds are looking at for their whole lives foward, which look to be short and brutal at this point.

Pro tip--do not cough, sneeze, or throw up inside your mask unless you can't help it.

Because cases and deaths are reported on an absolute bases, rural areas don't appear to be too harsh hit, and therefore people are not taking it seriously. Only 50 deaths in a county doesn't sound too bad, but if there are only 1,000 people in that county it is a hell of a lot.

Rural areas may not get hit in this first wave, they didn't in spring '18, but they sure got walloped in the fall and winter on '18/19. Some first nation and native American villages had 50% death rates, all be some of it secondary because people starved after providers died. The dogs in Inuit villages feasted for awhile though.

I really worry what this fall and winter will be like. Let's hope this virus dies a semi natural death (SARS AND MERS) and does not do what the Spanish flu did. The majority of deaths were in the second wave.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

I second this, not fun at all, especially at the beginning of a long surgery (though I can't say I ever threw u in my mask.)

I find glee in that most of these squawkers must not own mirrors. Take our Antioch chap - from where I sit he looks like a big tub of guts and no spring chicken. Half the taking heads on TV screaming about "muh economy" are chubs, with hypertension alcoholic noses and sedentary lifestyles. But "only those with pre-existing conditions..." Yeah guy, that's you - those liver enzymes, that high cholesterol, your BMI, your smoking, type-2 diabetes, those blooding thinning pills you take.... and on.. and on.

I guess the 50 or so years of working and/or raising a family was great and all, but now it's time for them to go. This is the problem with the internet. People can say shit like this and there's no one around to punch their lights out for being such an asshole.
