It was miserable. What the fuck? Are you French. A gorgeous Spring weekend after skiing up at Le Arcs and stuff, almost 70 degrees, all these outdoor cafes on the river, and everybody is fucking smoking, with a breeze. You may think it's cool, but I don't, and I smoked. Fuck that shit. It's rude and disgusting. May I fart in your face, frenchperson?

I can see it if you are walking in a mall or Main St but walking in your neighborhood with no one around seems to be overkill.

Even the "rules" here, in the "epicenter", are, wear a mask if you can't social distance. But now we've triggered the OC assholes.

Yeah that (and what OG posted above) was kind of my point - I was just replying to Core Shot who said the following with regards to covid being inappropriately used as the cause of death:

"Well it is true, even if right wing media exaggerates it.
If you had regular flu and die of pneumonia cause of death was always pneumonia."

It's not that simple. And missing the full picture is contributing to the widespread idea that hospitals are labeling everything as covid when they shouldn't (whether for monetary gain or to hurt the orange man or whatever the parrots are saying)

If you have cancer with a life expectancy of 2-3 years - and the cancer has left you with a shitty immune system - and you die of Covid - well the immediate cause of death is respiratory failure - due to Covid - cancer as a contributing cause. Same as if you shitty immune system is due to diabetes, or your shitty lungs are due to chronic smoking etc

If you get pneumonia and die of the "regular flu" yes you died from pneumonia - but influenza still gets listed on the death certificate if filled out properly.

Been using a bandana and a mask, depending on the occasion.
Wore a cowboy hat with bandana the other day, I think if i was in an open carry state, I'd strap on some six shooters and ride a horse to the bank.

The worst part about wearing a mask is not being able to flash my little boy smile, at the cute milfs, and getting a smile back. That shit brightens my day, I miss it.

Actually I was able to stay over 10 feet away most of the time. Speaking up and telling them, nicely, they were full of Trumps diarrhea word salads,I got under their skin and flustered them and I played well

    Holy shit.

With the bus, waiting at the hospital to pick up an employee and drive her home, I just watched two really lethargic prisoners get wheeled out to a DOC van by four guards. Both prisoners in masks kinda gave me the same pleading, resigned, sad look.

    Damn. What. the. fuu..uu...uuuuck.

    From WAPO.

Kansas reports 40 percent increase in chemical cases since Trump’s comments about disinfectants

The Kansas Poison Control Center on Monday reported an increase of more than 40 percent in cleaning chemical cases, days after President Trump suggested Thursday that household disinfectants could be injected “almost as a cleaning.”

That comes after Maryland on Friday received more than 100 calls from residents inquiring whether injecting a disinfectant really was a cure. In New York City, NPR reported, the poison control center recorded 30 calls Friday about Trump’s comments.

Kansas health officer Lee Norman said at a news conference in Topeka that one case included “a fellow over the weekend who drank a product because of the advice he’d received.” Norman did not offer any details.

Last week, after Trump floated the idea of injecting disinfectants into the body, the Environmental Protection Agency, Surgeon General Jerome Adams and chemical companies issued statements warning the public against using such products internally.

Asked Monday whether he takes responsibility for people considering ingesting disinfectants, Trump said: “Oh, I don’t know. I can’t imagine. I can’t imagine that.”

    Kansans aren't the sharpest knives?
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

Your right to Covid in Private?

We are starting to re-open here in Montana. A major part of the plan is contact tracing any new illness.

Where does ones right to privacy/Begin/End? I can see people claiming that contact tracing is an infringement.

Public health officers have used contact tracing to combat STD's. Seems like admitting to breathing the same air for a few minutes is a bit less...private.

    LOL!

I wear a mask. Put it on when I step out of the car and take it off once I get back in. What's the big deal? I actually find it helps keep me aware of the current situation and take extra precautions with what I touch, washing my hands etc. etc.

Honestly it's such a simple thing to do and takes no effort. I think most people's objection stems from worrying about what other's think and you know.... not wanting to look uncool. <roll eyes>

Put a forkin' mask on already!

*I should note that I wear masks everyday when I'm cleaning stalls so I suppose I'm more accustomed to wearing them than most.
