Congress passes relief package. Paid sick leave, paid family medical leave, and free testing.

Glad this is moving forward. It'll help a few of my employees (and thus, my business) a lot.

I was planning on heading to the OBX to kite after cancelling all of my ski trips coming up. I seem to be jinxed as Dare County is blocking access on to the OBX to only to residents, property and business owners.

Arrow Yes, calling it "Wuhan coronavirus" and blaming China for its spread is justified

The Chinese Communist Party spent months covering up the Wuhan coronavirus and the extent of its virulence and spread.
The WHO has also been complicit with the CCP.
It's totally justified to call it the "Wuhan coronavirus."

The Chinese doctor who tried to warn others about coronavirus
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-51364382
Dr Li, 34, tried to send a message to fellow medics about the outbreak at the end of December. Three days later police paid him a visit and told him to stop. He returned to work and caught the virus from a patient. He had been in hospital for at least three weeks.
He posted his story from his hospital bed last month on social media site Weibo.
    ...
Four days later he was summoned to the Public Security Bureau where he was told to sign a letter. In the letter he was accused of "making false comments" that had "severely disturbed the social order".
"We solemnly warn you: If you keep being stubborn, with such impertinence, and continue this illegal activity, you will be brought to justice - is that understood?" Underneath in Dr Li's handwriting is written: "Yes, I do."
He was one of eight people who police said were being investigated for "spreading rumours".

(Dr. Li died of the coronavirus. He is one of the few reasons that we were able to take action as early as we did, against the explicit advice of the WHO. May you rest in peace, brave Doctor.)

January 14: Preliminary investigations conducted by the Chinese authorities have found no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission of the novel #coronavirus (2019-nCoV) identified in #Wuhan, #China
    https://twitter.com/WHO/status/1217043229427761152?s=20

Yes, the WHO was still reporting fake CCP propaganda on January 14.

January 30: "There is no reason for measures that unnecessarily interfere with intl. travel & trade."
    https://twitter.com/WHO/status/1222969858574430217

The WHO was still doing the bidding of the Chinese government on January 30, and insisting that travel restrictions were not necessary or useful. Meanwhile, President Trump stopped travel from Wuhan the very next day.

Unpublished documents from the Chinese Communist regime reveal a 55-year-old #Wuhan patient suffering from the #coronavirus as early as Nov. 17, 2019, much earlier than officially announced. According to @WHO, the first recorded case in China was on Dec. 8.
    https://twitter.com/ChinaInFocusNTD/...890936833?s=20

It took until March 11 for the WHO to finally declare a pandemic.
World Health Organization says coronavirus outbreak is a pandemic
    https://www.sundaypost.com/fp/world-...is-a-pandemic/

Imagine how many people might not have died if the Chinese Communist Party had warned the world about the epidemic BEFORE Chinese people from around the world left the country after Chinese New Year in January.

This has nothing to do with the Chinese people, some of whom died trying to get the word out.
The blame rests on the CCP, the Chinese Communist Party.
If you insist on calling that "racist," you are literally repeating CCP propaganda.

How dare you criticize a politician for their response to this virus...it's as if you are actively wishing for people to die to further support your criticism! Shame. /s

This is interesting because many of the countries we at least stereotype as having people packed in like sardines have dealt with this viral outbreak the best. Somehow they've been able to practice "social distancing" even when they typically aren't able to do so in their normal lives.

Those countries have far less obesity, heart disease, diabetes etc. than the West.

Does anyone know of some centralized site that's tracking travel restrictions within the U.S.?

So far it seems like Northern California, Moab area, Outer Banks area, and a quick web search showed some sort of travel advisory in Indiana.

Unless I'm missing something, that only has info re: international travel restrictions. I'm interested in local (within the U.S.) travel restrictions and limitations.

It has been removed. I didn't get a chance to read it so I can't speculate why.

Sorry toast, you're right. The U.S. Travel Tab on the right doesn't list any restrictions, I think. Juggling too much shit right now!

Few islands off the Maine coast have voted to ban outsiders but no legal enforcement. Of course if you know their propensity to settle disputes themselves best to stay away

This thread needs some music. This title fits the shitshow it has evolved into. Can't waste my time reading through the toxic bickering anymore.
