In MA to get Real ID you only need Birth Certificate(and if female any documents showing name change for marriage/divorce), letter from utility showing proof of residence, and a valid MA license.

Or they call you at 5pm the day before a 9am appointment and tell you to call them if you need to reschedule within 24 hrs. And there's no one there to answer the phone till 9am the next day. Maybe you should do the call 24 hrs before the appointment. Happened to me yesterday.
