Fuckin debit card hackers! Ugh! Cleared me out (not a lot because it's an account I purposely keep low for this reason) and the bank treats me like I was negligent. "Where do you keep your card?" "Is it possible a family member or friend used it?" "Have you ever purchased from X-company before?"

Best part is they won't release the money back to me for 30+ days because it's not enough for me to say "that's not a purchase I made" they have to investigate. Damn charge hasn't even gone through yet. I caught it when it was still in process so just nix it and release the funds back to me. How hard is that?

Seriously, fuck The Humane Society, none of the donated money goes to shelters that actually do good things. They use it to send me gloves?
    Fuck them.
I am always flabbergasted by the swag charitable organizations give away at fun raisers, walks, runs, what-have-you. People need to say "no" to this shit. It's a waste of money, it contributes to landfills and pollution and it isn't necessary (and if it is necessary then the people participating in the charity event are clueless selfish dolts). Either you're going to donate or not.

Giving swag for a donation is like sending a Thank-you note to someone for sending you a Thank-you note.

Get rid of the debit option on your bank card. Request an “ATM Only” Card from your bank. I’m pretty sure most major banks offer this option. As long as you have good credit and are fiscally responsible, a credit card is much better than a debit card with a Visa/MC logo on it.
Because rich has nothing to do with money.

Not sure if KQs issue is related to Kandy pens, but there's a hudge Reddit on the owner and the company, and it's not good.

Kandy pens has a really bad reputation for their online purchase system. The guy who owns Kandy pens is a complete douche. They'll never get a penny from me.

Many people who have purchased from Kandy pens have their cards "mysteriously" hacked within a few days or weeks.

    Just a PSA heads up.

Well you may be right because the bank called me about a week after my purchase warning me of potential fraud on my account (a retailer had told them they'd had a breach. Bank wouldn't tell me who).

They asked me about a couple purchases one of which was KandyPens. Oh well, I got my purchase and the account is now closed. It was a stand alone card that I used for online purchases transferring small amounts of money into so they didn't get a whole hell of a lot but they have caused me to get PO'd.

If what you've read is true it would certainly be an easy way for a company to hack accounts. Warn the bank of a breach you did to yourself then sell or use the card info as you like.

Don't ever use a debit card for online purchases. Use cc like Amex. Or Paypal.

This. Most debit cards will still let you run the purchase as credit card, like Visa, etc. Always do that. Always. Even if the CC machine asks you for your PIN, ask the cashier to run it as a CC. Every time.

Why do you use a debit card outside of cash withdrawal?

Yes, yes, yes. As stated this was a stand alone card tied to nothing but a low balance account that I transferred money into as needed. No auto payments tied to it, no savings, etc. etc. Fact is there are shitty people out there always trying to find a way to get something that isn't theirs for nothing. I've had my identity stolen the old fashioned way through stolen mail, a CC stolen and now a debit card hacked. Unfortunately it's a hazard of this life we now live. Still a pisser but not the end of the world. I shall live to fight another day!

If you can help it, you should never use a debit card ever.

There are better legal and functional protections for credit cards, and even if you use it as "credit", you miss out on some of that protection.

Trying to obtain a driver's license in Colorado is pretty fucking annoying.
    Valid out-of-state license. Check
    Proof of CO residence. Check
    Social Security card. Check
    Valid Passport. Check
    Notarized birth certificate. Check

But the name on my birth certificate doesn't match the name I've been using for fucking forever and is on every fucking legal document I've ever had, including the aforementioned.

The upshot is that I'll have to change my name via court for tje State to issue me a driver's license. Fuck! In Kalifornia, every illegal gets a driver's license in the State-issued care package they receive upon crossing the border.

Probably should be in the annoys, but shouldn't: people who don't know which DMV to go to, and when.

I can do the name change for you. Upshot to me.

Count yourself lucky. I got a letter this year saying I had to appear in person to renew my DL, and I had to bring proof of citizenship, which caused me to have to spend about $40 to get a copy of my birth certificate. After waiting 2.5 hours at the DMV, I finally got to the window, and started to show the lady the birth certificate, and she said “I don’t need that”. Great, I’m glad I had to spend that money.

I actually lucked out with the 2.5 hour wait. I got there just before they closed, so they stayed open to service everyone that was inside the building when they closed. But some of the people that I was sitting next to had been waiting over 4 hours.

When I make a appointment with the Doctors office, then to have the office give me a confirmation call the day before said appointment time with a different time than originally scheduled. Can I get an Amen for new management please!

Or they call you at 5pm the day before a 9am appointment and tell you to call them if you need to reschedule within 24 hrs. And there's no one there to answer the phone till 9am the next day. Maybe you should do the call 24 hrs before the appointment. Happened to me yesterday.

Dude. You know you would have had an easier time to get your license if you claimed to be an undocumented Canadian or something, right?
    https://www.dmv.org/co-colorado/undo...nt-license.php
"The Colorado Road and Community Safety Act (RCSA) Senate Bill 13-251 (SB 13-251) is an act passed into law that provides a driver's license, permit, or state ID card to Colorado residents who cannot prove citizenship or legal presence in the United States. With a CO driver's license, permit, or ID card issued under SB 13-251, you may not be discriminated against in any way, nor can your driver's license be held against you to determine your citizenship or immigration status. This license affords you the same driving privileges as a documented citizen, and also holds you to the same laws and regulations, including requirements for Colorado car insurance."
Hahahahahaha. One of those things that makes you go "WTF?" So....for a normal Colorado resident, they put you the ringer to get your license. Undocumented? "¡Aquí está su nueva licencia de conducir, señor!" I know I'm oversimplifying a bit since they still have other things they need to prove, but it still seems better than how you're being treated.

9:45 Dr. appointments. Bc I got here at 9:30 and now it’s 10:05 and I’m sitting here in the lobby....and there’s still two people in front of me.

Make this damn train run on time!

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.
