Nice! What shaft? I hit my buddy’s 21 degree a few times and liked it so much I ordered it. Well, I order the 24 cuz I was hitting the 21 like 250, too long. That club feels so great.

-edit. Maybe I should’ve gone with a Gapr?

Season started to end well, 42/42 was my personal best by two. Then didn't break 100 for three rounds. Fack. Time to take the winter off and start the spring with short game, a couple of lessons and some range time...

It's the same old shit that I ain't gonna take off anyone.
and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

I've missed a lot in this thread I see.

Course pic is NGLA, fuck you if you got to play it.

MP-18s are the best irons I've ever owned.

Titleist AVX is the best ball I've ever played.

    That is all.

Have you used TP5 yet? Ball is sooooo good. I use TP5x

Isn't AVX the NXT tour replacement?

I've been into Srixon everything lately - you'll have to pry the 765 irons from my cold dead hands and the Z Star ball has been my go to for a few years now.

I have essentially a brand new Cally Rogue driver at 9.5* (won at a scramble and used maybe 5 rounds) that I simply don't need, nor do I seem to be getting along with. I have it cut down to 44.5", KuroKage Silver Stiff shaft - 66 gr. $499 new from what I can see, I'll sell on here for $300 if anyone is interested, I can PM or email pics if you want.

A little TR. Sorry for the big pics. I hope I solved my pics upside down problem.

Hit perfect weather for a trip back to my golf roots in Irondequoit NY. Played 36 holes in one day with the family.
First was Durand Eastman. Robert Trent Jones design. Built on what was George Eastman's of (Eastman Kodak fame) 1000 acre arboretum. Played a 2some with my brother. $23.00 for 18 with a cart.

Got together two foresomes for an evening 18 at Whispering Pines. Opened in 1930. Oldest mini in the country. Took the wife there on dates. All the cups were volcanoed and all the fairways sloped to the siderails.

    nice pics, wooley!

my knee got irritated so i took a couple weeks off. i don't want any residual pain once the snow starts.

anyway, played this afternoon with a pretty low hcp and he was complimentary of my play. i didn't drive or score well, but i hit several really good short game shots and my putting is coming around.

he was shocked i hadn't broken 90 and said i should be shooting low 80s regularly and had the game to break 80. i've heard it a couple times from good players. it was nice to hear.

it would be nicer to do it.

If it hurts, don't do it.

In my first pic my stance was too narrow and I blocked the shot to my B landing point past the trees on the right into an open area. I don't remember what I scored on that hole. Across the fairway was the rain shed where I scored with my wife during a thunderstorm. It wasn't a round for counting strokes.

For me consistently shooting low 80s or lower is simply a matter of keeping the ball in play and having a decent short game. I've been getting out the past month after a few years of <5 rounds/year. (I played 50+ rounds/year prior to my hiatus.) I walked 36 holes Friday, 36 Saturday, 18 Sunday, flattish courses but not bad for 3 months post-TKR surgery. It's nice being able to get to my left side again (TKR was on my left knee). My game is coming back. I'm playing to an est. 11-12 index, shot in the 70s 4 of those 5 rounds. Disclaimer: Greens were recently plugged and sanded so I played 2-putt max rule for 3 of those rounds.

I got in another 18 with two of my brothers at van Patten in Clifton Park. Practically had the place to ourselves. A public course with country club feel and conditioning. We played a $0.50/hole skins and I won but as is our tradition, no one pays a brother a bet.
