There is a good vietnamese restaurant across from the movie theatres if you are looking for decent grub.

    Relief today
Excited to be able to get some stuff done this weekend cuz it’s back to the heat starting Monday

And now hiding under the canopy as a downpour rolls thru

Data I've found shows 83. Might have 'felt like' 97 though.

I had a road ride today. Started out humid but overcast, so: tolerable. Weather lady said: we might see a shower or two in the area with isolated heavy rain. But the ride was for charity...amirite???

About 20miles in, sun came out and was just terrible., typical of the last two weeks; even the suns rays are wilting. Until mile 40...when the skies opened....not seen since the time of Noah. Thunder....lightening...I was hiding in a forest for 50min.

I started shivering and shaking, so I made a break for it. I got caught in two more deluges on the way home. I was like: fuck it...I gotta get home at some point.

Apparently, the showers were “isolated” to over Smarty’s head. Now I know how Charlie Brown feels.

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

Looking at the weather in Yurp, fucking hot. Coastal Vancouver Island is the place to be. 85 all week here in Coronado. Not horrible, but not 68 either.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Spent a week camping on the mendo coast. It was mostly foggy. Maybe pushing mid-60s mid day if the sun came out. No smoke. So nice.

In the CA foothills, the red flag warning weather has finally mixed the air and aq has finally improved where we can guilt-free open up the house at night to cool off and not be sucking in smoke or O3 at night.

We got about 20 drops of rain in Point Loma last night. Some cloud has helped cool things down a bit.

Been alternating between sun, thunder & lightening and rain so far today. Interesting. Feels Fall-like.

This hot nasty persistent dank humid SW flow that has been going on for weeks and weeks is supposed to turn around to NW -finally!- today into tonight, with dewpoints dropping from the mid-high 70's down into the low 60s and a high tomorrow of 73 with low humidity. I bet it feels freezing after all this shit. Freezing, and delicious. Bring it.

edit: just looked at a revised forecast, it's gonna go N then NE for a couple days before it goes around to NW. NE isn't ideal here but it's better than than this SW, I'll take it.

That's damn near perfect Seattle weather.

Our air is now listed at "moderate" which is a vast improvement over "unhealthy." I can actually see the outline of the Blue Mountains!

Fuck, running the AC 24/7 resulted in a $580 power bill last month. Previous high was about $280. I called SDG&E to ask wtf and they replied the state allowed them to charge an energy hog penalty effective Nov 2017.
Thanks for approving that utilities commission Still about 3 weeks of heat to go if it runs it's normal course.

My bill seems to go ever higher too. A few years ago it was never above $40-45. This month was $100. They send me a graph of my usage and it's no higher than same time last year or year before. Maybe I got hit with the penalty too. Was it based on peak hours usage? I have AC on only late evening mostly outside of peak hours.

Couldn't get it to turn on last night so maybe I have a forced end to consumption. The fan outside was on but the unit inside wouldn't blow air. Time to get it serviced....

Wonder if we will get hit with a penalty after wife’s friend left the back yard sprinklers running for 6 weeks 😐

She’s pregnant so she gets a pass... I guess.
