How many $200k+ cars have you sold?

Just wondering what type of experience you have.

We still have zero clue you sold anything. You could be the detailing crew for Christ's sake.

Btw..still sitting pretty on severance and got 3 offers to choose from. I'll come out ahead in the end. Nice little vacation too.

I sold used cars for five years before I started my shop. It's a tough gig, I salute Bobby for doing well in it. After a couple years of selling at the BMW dealership I was given the asst. manager job. About the only thing I liked about it was the demo, and the day off during the week for a quiet powder day now and then.

What I didn't like about it was working a lot more hours than I did when I was a mechanic. It seemed most of my "days off" were taken up serving the needs of someone whose time it was implied was much more valuable than mine. I also found most of my co-workers were more interested in serving their own needs than any type of morals or team success. I was decent at it, did it for a few years, but I couldn't keep it up for long, the overall dishonesty in the profession wore on me.

Kudos on you Bobby for avoiding the raging narcissists and braggarts that usually populate most car sales forces. May that next up be fruitful.

Hey Brostalker and out of work skidog, did you guys noticed it snowed a foot today?

It's cool, I'm sure arguing on the internet all day with Bobby was way more fun.

Scientists now have decisive molecular evidence that humans and chimpanzees once had a common momma and that this lineage had previously split from monkeys.

Im trying to put a deal together for a 2008 Ferrari F430 Scuderia with 995 miles. The guy wants my 2015 458 Speciale with 2800 miles.

Marshall Goldman has a slightly higher mile Scuderia on his web site for 299k. My 458 Speciale is 405k.

What trade difference should I hit my guy at?

You know so much about lighting, I was wondering if you could actually help me on a deal. Let me know what you think and Ill text the client. We are dealing with about 700k here so don't fuck up.

Scud in question has the NA Carbon Pack. Speciale has a 380k window (no stripe car).

Hows the light in this pic? Same room.

I hear 370Zs are pretty fun cars... <snicker>
605 NA horsepower. 9k red line.

Mo betta. That other pic had warehouse strip lighting. You need to see true colors man. Marketing 101.

And I've never sold a car in my life...well I've sold a couple personals.

I would never buy a Ferrari or the likes. No interest. I'm a vw bus or an old two wheel triumph person.

    .
If he wants 299 he can sell it before buying the car he wants. Also you have to get your ten percent out of it for both sales. 170k plus good trade in. Negotiate to 150k if he grumbles.

Give me a minute. I would be worried about the Kleemann chip and upgraded sound system. You want to make sure that bitch doesn't have any electrical gremlins from it.

Im trying to give him 215. Told him low 180s trade difference puts him in the high 390s for my car. We will see what happens.

Sounds reasonable to me. What's your no deal number? If he shows up with keys and 160 cash do you take the deal?

How do you get compensated if all the profit is in the trade in vehicle ? How does ownership establish fair value vs. actual cost basis of the car ? Do you get your standard 30% of the delta ?
