anybody do any touring in the Huckleberry Mountains west of Chewelah
near Stensgar Mtn/Red Marble Road? we did a little recon today, not
enough snow to ski right now, lots of roads up there and no 4x4

Schwizz with an honest 7" of light powder skied a little too light for the rocks. Great to feel the good stuff this early, though.

49N skied fast, smooth and sunny today;
the biggest abject danger was roving bands
of stoned teenagers;
keeping an eye on that huge system
rolling out of Kamchatka ......

Beautiful day at Silver today once we got above the cloud line - couldn't avoid the rocks though, even on the groomed ridge

Great day at Schweitzer. Front side was thin, lots of rocks at the bottom of the triple and bottom of KMacs so we did a couple of laps through the gate a at the top of the triple into Larch Park. Better coverage than I expected and not too many tracks. Snow was about 8 inches with big hoar on top. Really fast and fun snow on the NE aspect. Beautiful weather.

Mt Spokane on Friday was thin. I suspect they will shut it down after the weekend.

Lookout on Monday had heavy wet snow. Didn’t open other chair as I hoped... need more snow but nice change from last couple of weeks.

Going to Mt Spokane tomorrow.
