    Just flew back into Reno Friday night from an epic trip to BC. 9 days driving the Powder HWY by RV. Skied six different resorts with my personal favorite being Fernie Mountain. Best part, it never stopped snowing the entire time we were in BC. While still in a daze from the trip, Saturday Falcons program at Rose was on so me and the boy headed up early. After dropping off the kid with his coach I skied Rose for the rest of the day. Fun day of spring skiing for sure. It's been weeks since I skied with the sun out. Just enough of a breeze kicked up in the afternoon to keep the snow from becoming sticky. The chutes offered a bit of everything, good, bad, and some gnarl. Heading down to Mammoth tomorrow for the week. If anyone is down and wants to take a few runs, hit me up.

    ^^ Awesome. Which RV company did you go with? Canadream? How was the overnight parking situation in general? I've been semi-planning a trip exactly like that with some of my extended family (it was supposed to happen this year but life got in the way) which is why I ask.

    Looks like $80-100 more expensive across the board?
    Thanks to the Wayback Machine....

    Gold up $40 ($829 -> $869)
    Silver up $70 ($589 -> $659)
    Bronze up $30 ($469 -> $499)
    College up $40 ($429 -> $469)

    Interesting that Silver was bumped most. I guess they want to make the upgrade to Gold even more tempting.

    Overall, increases seem modest, and not enough to reduce volume of sales.
    not counting days 2016-17

    What's up J? I'll send you a pm with details so as to not jack the Tahoe thread, but to answer your question YES. That's the company I went with and would HIGHLY reccomend them. I found them to be very honest, easy to work with, no hidden fee's etc. I'll shoot you a PM and give you the down low.

    My friends just got back from Fernie and were raving about the place. Probably didn't hurt that there was 6-8" new every morning.

    So with daylight savings now, what time is the snow turning into slop with temps in the mid 50's? (I know, it depends on the aspect, but generally speaking)

    With the warm days we are having at least for BC corn you should time it to be on top of your run by 10 to 10:30

    West Face was still firm at 4pm yesterday.

    Sadly I didn't make it out today.
    Still waiting...

    Dropped into the south face of castle peak around noon today and I would say it was pretty amazing. Was starting to get a little warm and sticky by the end of the run but still soft and fun nevertheless.

    There was a slight east wind yesterday that kept things on the cooler side. That said, the slot skied very well when patrol opened it around 11 DST.

    We skinned up Silver Peak from Squaw on Saturday. I think it was an outlier (temps in the high 50s; no wind; south-facing slope between 6,200 and 8,200), but it was in prime condition when we started skinning up after dropping the kids at ski team (9 AM). By the time we started descending at 11, it was cooked on SE-S-SW faces below 8,000 feet.

    Thanks for the info everyone. When it's April 13th I know the answer, when it's march 13th not so much. Fingers crossed for a return to winter next week.

    NorCal Mag JedPeters could use some TGR good vibes, broke his femur in 4 places at NorthStar. He's in good spirits but has a long road to get back on snow.

    Fernie was the highlight of the trip for sure. Snowed everyday, challenging terrain, place ski's big. Steepest and tighest tree lines I've ever skied with big drops in between each turn. Knew it was going to be a good time when we rolled in with the RV and inquired about overnight parking at the resort. We were told "No problem. Head for lot #4. They just started the bonfire." Good times.

    According to CP snotel the temperature somehow just went up from 39 to 41...Here at lake level it seems cooler.. Inversion trying to rob us of a harvest day tomorrow? Maybe it's an anomaly of some sort?

    Inversions will often get warmer during the night as warm air lifts out of the valleys. Not all that uncommon.

    Makes sense..Concerns turned out to be unfounded

    Heres what happens when you pick up hitchhikers....of course when you happen to snag some ski bum on the side of the road its a TGR member..PowderCruiser I believe.
