Castle - and everything else over Donner Pass - is freaking stacked right now. As good as I've ever seen it. But honestly, there will still be plenty of untracked lines a day or two or three later without fighting all of that bullshit traffic... if today is any indication this three day weekend is going to be a grand shit show. Just my two cents.

Mentioning stacked, tram face is prime right now and I'm expecting to see tracks by Monday or Tuesday once the snow settles a bit more. This picture doesn't show the looker's right where it's even better.

Jesus Christ. This traffic is at 730, off 80 to Tahoe. I came from Reno. Exit on 80 east looks unbelievably backed up. Havent moved 1/4 mile in 15 minutes.

Edit: from the time I got off the highway to my estimated arrival at squaw is 70 minutes.

Not getting any traffic sympathy here.
Sure it will be a shit show up there but the turns will be $
Don't stress the hassles and enjoy the skiing.
Certainly not missing anything back east.
    Have fun!

the bear was too scratchy yesterday so we opted for the trees. on the way home we hit ht the traffic backed up from several head on collisions so we took a run at a mellow line I've always looked at. Turns out it was Tahoe's first ski resort

That was easy Meadow. My buddy's place is in a good spot away from runouts. The only concern I had this week was the hang fire on the backside of the house. Always a slim chance it gets heavy (from rain), slides and bounced the wrong way on the berm and goes through the window of the room I sleep in. Okay, beacon at night.

No crust, but a lot of wind affect. You could definitely have found way better snow in the Tahoe area today, but it's a line we hadn't done in years (or ever for some in our group). Thanks for the skin track powdork!

Anyone have a west shore /north Lake parking pullout report? Are the standard spots plowed?

Buddies sent a photo of a wide open shoulder with just a couple of other vehicles at 10am.
