Good, I know you're responsible but I had to ask.

Thanks. I understand. I don't ever want to be the asshole who hit someone by accident by shooting into the woods or some other bullshit like that.

Mrs. Leavenworth Skier shooting the Ruger. Watching her get solid repeatable hits on a 12" plate at 300 yards gave me serious chub. It was her first time shooting past 100 yards.

Savage 116 in .300wm with a Boyds stock, Witt Machine Brake, and a Vortex HS LR 4-16x50 FFP XLR. I run a Harris ultralight bipod on it as well. It's an 11 lb rifle capable of taking any animal in North America down inside of 800 yards and also capable of hitting paper and steel well past 1000 yards. I handload 208gr Hornady AMAX bullets at 2800 fps which results in groups around .5 MOA or less.

I am a mouth piece (or maybe a mouth breather.) Either way, I recently got to talk about some of the products we sell. Also I wore the Volkl hat I got from Mrs. AlpenChronicHabitual at BBI16, to prove that deep down I'm a skier..

They aren't that hard to do, they get a lot easier after 2 or 3 of them. How do you plan to anodize it?

Get a pack of the drill bits or end mills specific for it too.

    Nice gun!

any reason not to buy a p226 or 229 as a first and only handgun? Only dabbled with the 226 in a store, felt preety great, although no bang was produced. Won't be used for much else than target shooting, maybe comps if I get the hang of it. So CCW and purse carrying won't be considerations.

Don't want plastic, and yeah, a Glock or even an HK is a hell of a lot cheaper. The other two guns I want to check out are a CZ75 and a Beretta 92

Our rules demand you're an active part of a pistol club for six months at the minimum before being eligible to buy pistols. For an AR/AK or HK416,you need two years of Active dynamic pistol shooting, by the way.

    .
A used p226 x5 on Gb is way nicer for a little more $ than the p226. Seriously the mags are $100 and it shows.
    I have four 92fs including a 92fs billenium, I like the cz75's better.
I have a cz 75 champion (there are a few on gunbroker per year for half of what the billenium cost) which I would put up against anything under $4k any day of the week.

They aren't using suppressors, they are using chopped manta suppressor covers as a heat resistant rest for their rifles so they don't get burned by the ends of the barrel.

I think they are using a pig break under it.

They need suppressors so they aren't deaf when they retire. Those SBR's are very loud and hearing protection doesn't do the job. They're becoming pretty common around the country. What is the problem with suppressors? Do they look too scary or something? By the way, I don't think those are suppressors but the, or never mind, he beat me to it.

Can you get the P226 Legion Single Action in Norway? It's kickass. Either that or I'd check out a 9mm double stack 1911 if you want a metal gun. Not sure what brands you got over there.

I don't care much for CZ75s due to the slide being inside the frame rails, and I think the Beretta 92fs is junk.

Either way, for a competition gun, go single action only, not DA/SA.

But really you should just buy an HK VP9 or Walther PPQ 5". Trust me on this one, if it's your only handgun just get one of those guns.
