Indeed. That is Thousand Island Lake between Mammoth and Yosemite. Because of its sheer beauty it is a popular backpacking destination. It also is where the John Muir Trail and PCT meet so that adds to the notoriety. This was the second camp site on a few day loop of Ediza Lake, Garnet Lake, and Thousand Island. The loop is popular because of the jaw-dropping beauty. But I never felt to crowded and most people I met were through hikers or at least doing the whole JMT. There was a group of bro's and betty's from Mammoth with a few dogs that were swimming down at the far end of the lake but they were a long way off. The lake is pretty big.

    Just a few minutes earlier...

Picked myself up a drone. Busy learning to fly it so I can start chasing skiers and bikers.

added a new little grom-ette to the fam-damily over the weekend... These are from the hospital. Sorry in advance for the likely proliferation of baby photos as we settle in at home.

This is actually a daylily. They're technically not true lilies.

    Great flower shots!

edit: I take it back. Apparently some daylilies are referred to as "tiger dalilies." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemerocallis_fulva
