Away from home, by myself with a big bottle of wine and my computer last night, I kinda got carried away a little.

I figured drinks were happening. But still strong. And I've always felt that NRBQ was maybe the most unappreciated band ever, even by me.

Well if you're interested this is a pretty good profile of them. They really were special. Terry is still touring under the NRBQ name, Tommy died, Big Al is in Nashville writing songs and Joey's off doing his own thing but they had about almost a 40-year run. The things to remember are that the dissonance is on purpose and they were all just phenomenal musicians. And just fucking good guys.

Plus, Captain Lou Albano liked them.

They also recorded an album with Carl Perkins that's pretty great.

Paul Kantner got me to listening to Jefferson Airplane, and that got me to listening to Hot Tuna, and so...this is some serious noodling:

Listening to the first Hot Tuna album was another blazing in HS revelation moment.

pshaw, mang, she can sang. Yeah i played that one^^^ a while back, I like Soraia. That particular version does sound a little rough, maybe she had a cold or something.

Here's somebody else who can sang, clssic footage, it must be from a movie or something but hey it's Dion in 1961 and I do love the tune:

edit: that is just so good ^^^
