Damn cheap RCR. Just checked and no family/friends discount anymore until after April 1st. Last year we still got the free ticket and discount other than a couple holidays periods.
Edit: Try Liftopia.

12cm at Red overnight. Puking at the moment, and forecast to continue for days. Watching the freezing level with concern.

Besides these two, what other websites do you guys follow for Revelstoke?
Resort's forecast could be worth having a look at, though I would imagine their snow forecast to be a bit on the optimistic side.

Lamothe, don't know if you saw my post a page or two back, but I'd be up for touring this weekend. Avy forecast is looking like it'll be touchy though.
Revie's forecast is directly from alpine FX, this is the best you are going to get for BC. It's going to be close for the weekend, please I just want to f-ing ski some deep snow!

What is the base at Red looking like? If they do get 60+ cm over the next few days is that going to make skiable all the rockier/steeper stuff? Worth driving out from the coast?
Does Red allow overnight parking in the lots? what about whitewater? any special ways to get around it if they don't?
Anybody know if the Gorge is still being plowed?

Sub'ed to keep track of what's going on in the area.
I'll be in Revelstoke from Feb 26th - March 11th if anyone wants to ride or just grab some beers let me know. I'll have my split and avy gear with me so if anyone want to get after the sidecountry or tour I am always down (Although I'm pretty risk averse when it comes to avi conditions).

Stellar day. Going to be some deep pockets for the early birds tomorrow. Backside reloading w wind all day. Pow to the bottom at 3:45. Started to get a bit heavy at bottom if stoke. Found fresh to 2nd gondi station
Thanks for the report. I'll be up at Revy too...I'll keep my eyes open Lamothe, or send me a message, 250-870-1220. Probably will be touring up at Mica where the temps should be a bit cooler on Saturday.
A shit show of a day at Red yesterday. Inexplicably ski patrol didn't come in early for control, so we stood in line for a couple of hours as they did multiple ski cutting laps, by which time the wind had come up, and Motherlode remained closed all day. Ski conditions were pretty fun (heavy but consistent) on the Red chair, for a couple of hours, then the Grey chair opened for those prepared to hike (20 mins) up to the base, but strong winds, pea soup visibility and variable wind effected heavy snow made for challenging skiing. By late afternoon the snow was getting sticky and grabby to about half way up the mountain. Freezing levels spiked to 1900m (just below the top of Granite) last night, with periods of rain. Winds are gusting to 60km. Coverage is fine, but nothing in the warm, wet, windy forecast indicates it'd be worth driving in from the coast. Get a flight to the North coast. Overnight parking is encouraged.

^ bummer!
WW was good yesterday, I missed the morning but was told it was sick. the afternoon was fun until it started raining at around 2. Apparently it's pouring up there now and even the access road is sketchy. The forecast looks like more of the same, unfortunately. The highway high elevation forecast says 'rain at times heavy'.
You can overnight park at WW. There are some plug ins too I think that you pay for.
Imagine if it was just a couple degrees colder....
There's a ripe pineapple on my counter, I guess it's time to sacrifice it.
I got a late start to work today and one of my roommates was already coming back from the hill. He said it was raining to the top and the skiing was shit.
I propose a boycott of pineapples and everything from Hawaii, just to be safe.
Yeah, had a buddy drive from Vernon (against my warnings!) and said it was crap. Still planning on the forecasted 1500m FL and more snow Sat-Monday to get me up there for sunday/monday.
This is almost getting comical with a pineapple every 2 weeks on the dot.

^^ Y'all talking about revy right?
Have a crew of extremely desperate PNWers ready to rally up after work, but starting to have seriously doubt. Worth driving 8 hours one way?!?!
Steady rain to the top, and untracked sticky boot deep schmoo at Red today. Sort of fun few a few laps.
