I always enjoy your pics, nek. You've got a knack for sure. I need to get up to Burke for one last ride.

sweet! LOVE that hill. Just got some brand new 20 year old leather 75mm boots that would be perfect with some waxless fischers up there.

    Moar FALL!

This one is a closeup of the sunset reflecting off the windows of the tram and summit buildings of Cannon Mtn. It was actually hard to look directly at it. Almost like a laser pointer.

Any mags recommend a good pumpkin spice beer that can be had near Burlington? Tried Long Trail's Pumpkin Ale and it's good but I'm looking for something with a stronger pumpkin flavor.

    Southern tier brewing.

Try wolavers pumpkin ale. Quite spicey and sweet though. Not to my liking but maybe you would.

I tasted a Pumpkin beer once. Had four sips and left the rest....being a slow learner, I had to be sure

During a birdwatching day I was handed a can of gose beer for my lunch, carried it for hours and then, when it was lunchtime cracked it open and reviled the taste immediately, it was salty and sour...intentionally so it seems.

Fortunately I had some 10 yr old Malt in my pack and killed that awfull taste with it.

I'd rather drink turpen hydrate than gose beer!

Anyone have any experience with easy access primitive camping in Willoughby State Forest. I'm headed to Kingdom Trails for Sunday with some friends and we have heard rumors of easy camping sites in the state forest. Anyone?

I'm loving the new camera that I got for Christmas
The clarity and control is so much better.
Now I just need better lenses.

Supposed to be beautiful all week. Summer-like with beautiful foliage

    One more from lunch time:

Which reminds me, this might no longer be such a good deal, since I haven't looked into this since something like around 2007, but I recall lots of good deals from joining one of the CT ski clubs:
    http://www.skiclub.com
Yes, CT & skiing, usually not such a good combination!
But the clubs have access to buying individual tickets in advance at group rates (though might be too late for that this season, sorry).
And most VT resorts have special rates on various days for club members:
    http://www.meridenski.com/2014-2015_...eness_Days.pdf
I recall that at the time we decided the best deal was this club:
    http://www.thegoodmenclub.com
... though organizationally some problems arose with mailing out cards and/or tickets (which might still be the case given all the Google malware warnings about their website).
