New request. People that ONLY participate in PolAss should be given the boot. It's a fun activity now and then to delve into the depths of despair that is PolAss, but those that come to a ski site only to participate in the bullshit?... Fuck 'em.

On and off, I spent a few months watching on the sidelines in POLY, and have noticed that within those broad tangent filled discussions, alias' like that guy ilkecandy and maybe one or two more ( maybe same user?), seems to bring a non-ending circular motion to discussions that end up no where in particular. It kills some good tangents, and keeps others going indefinitely. Like a virus of internet popularity hits. POW climate crusaders? I am all for it!

I can understand people who have been here for 10 years having a difficult time for their unique voice to be noticed in that atmosphere.

It is as if, multiple super aggressive singual personalities multiplied to dominate the actually more diverse general population.

This is super low/no priority as it has no functionality issues attached to it, but it is weird that sometimes previously clicked on links display in different colors. See attached. FF29.0.1 OS X 10.7.5

Yeah, I got that. They turn red, like they always have. But sometimes they turn blue, like in the picture I attached and circled the exact same link showing up as red (correct) and blue (weird) on the same page in different posts. That has never been the case previously and there seems no rhyme or reason to why one displays one way and one displays the other. Try and keep up.

Some youtube videos display as videos while others display as links in tapatalk. Not sure which way of posting causes which to display correctly and which don't, but there are multiple ways to post videos currently and not all of them work correctly in tapatalk.

Nothing works on mobile. Search, videos, ignore, PR, blocking Polass, etc. You just have to realize it is what it is and its pretty useless complaining about it. Think about it, a couple years ago it was impossible to view on a phone, so don't bitch that the experience isn't identical to a computer.

i think you're going to like the new mobile version. Still working some bugs out [still doesn't block Polass, for instance], but it's cleaner for sure....and works...

Logged the Search fix and Chrome/Windows issues telemike.

When people are having trouble with search, please specify what you're talking about. We're styling the search menu so it's cleaner and formatted better and adding a text box search bar. My shitty search experiences have involved looking up the name of a thread that already exists and the search function not being able to pull anything up. What are other people dealing with?

In other news, here's a few screenshots of the new TGR Forum app. Still working through some issues with mobile ads and stuff but I'll keep you posted on progress...

My format issues are FireFox. Maybe that's the problem. Notifications box is hidden until you accidentally scroll over it. Drop down navigation menu box is half the size of the text.

Noted. Really, the new Tapatalk app is on the whole more user friendly and functional than the desktop forums. I'm going to do some research into what Vbulletin's capabilities are to match the desktop experience to the new mobile experience one. Attachments show up and show up full-width there.

The search function is killing me, and unfortunately won't get fixed in the immediate future. It's shit though and such a critical part of the picture here. I'm working on getting it pushed up the list of priorities...

telemike, my view of the top menu bar Forums drop-down menu in Firefox looks fine, although the text in general is smaller than I'd like, but in general I zoom in on all webpages in general (usually using Chrome)

Edit: and interesting that this attachment actually showed up in the post (posting from Safari)... I think I had posted my last attachments from Chrome. Hmm...

NONONO... we already have a mobile version of the site. Mobile sites on desktops fucking suck (if my attachment works, look at that and see this site in mobile). The funny thing, the functionality (besides the search) worked just fine until you guys went all monkey fucking with it. Turning your desktop presence into mobile? Is that the solution people think is logical? Well, it will solve one problem for everyone as I wouldn't be returning. I'm not using a mobile 'lite' version in my regular browsers.
