Compartment syndrome is indeed much rarer in the thigh than the lower leg and is generally not subtle - severe pain, etc. Increasing pain and pain with passive ROM are some of the warning signs, but as Old Goat said it's unlikely that you would get it in such a delayed manner. Your hamstrings originate from the ischial tuberosity, which is the bony prominence on which we sit and likely explains some of your hamstring pain as the blood tracks down the posterior compartment of your thigh. Take it easy and enjoy the colors of the rainbow as the bruise is gradually absorbed.
