If it keeps up an early AM skin may hold some potential.

Strawjack, glad it was more of a joke, but Rog is right... exercise is the key to a good sleep. Unfortunately, easier said than done. How was Doc show at the Gahdon?

^^^ Haha, now that's just silly.

Nice 1/2" of blower fluff in maybe 20 minutes here in the east siders banana belt this evening. Not that it really matters, but always a bit nicer when it's snowing out

Season's greetings from the land of lake effect!

The Hinterlands have been pounded with snow off Georgian Bay over the last 48 hours. We are not quite as buried as Tug Hill but it was definitely worth heading off to my private stash for the first tree turns of the season:

    Damn deer snaked my line:

Rugged touring skis and conservative first turns. My buddy and I never got around to cleaning and pruning this fall. Love the Lite Spikes for this kind of skiing, very solid and no bending over:

On the second run I let the skis run a little more. Sorry about the blue snow; I have been experimenting with my new camera, with mixed results:
"... Enjoy yourselves, keep your brain in your head and your head firmly attached to your body, the body active and alive, and I promise you this much: I promise you this one sweet victory over our enemies, over those deskbound people with their hearts in a safe deposit box and their eyes hypnotized by desk calculators. I promise you this: you will outlive the bastards." – Edward Abbey

    Nice Mr. Multiglisse.

It would be that the latest forecast is less Eastern Ontario and more focused on NY. I'm too far from some Georgian Bay lake effect snow. Tug Plateau is at 40" and is 3 hours away, but I won't be able to leave locals until Monday.

Radcliffe opens on Thursday, not sure how much they would have gotten.

boy you boyz are soft. it's called waking up early, in the dark, skinning in the dark, skiing as you can 1st see. shit I live 2 hours from George, will leave by 3am, be skinning by 530, hit the summit by 8-830, ski the 4300 vert back to the car, grab breakfast, and drive the 2 hours back to make it to work by noon.

done it many many times. it's ok, yer young and need yer baby sleep

    just food for thought

another 7.2" at the top o George makes over 10 in the last 48 and close to 19" this month. with another 1-3 expected before the bigger weekend storm, the mountain will receive a HUGE facelift by the time the dust settles next week.

15 degrees here SoMe. may actually finally need the winter cycling jacket for my fatbike adventure this am. rolling out in 15 minutes!

    hava great day y'all!

Mr Multi on the skinnies, I should break out the Country Crowns, thet were what made me pick up telemark.

Pretty morning outside, nice color in the light clouds. 4.0`bob -7`summit w/ a light breeze, wear those mitts kids. No new snow after 8pm last night but it looks like 5" at the top of the snowlab >.

It's very exciting to think about it, makes me want to shuck it all and get some!

Still, let's be smart about it folks! There are so many what-ifs and variabilities about deposition, loading and the rest...

Check for stability the way you do and keep a careful watch on your strategy/enthusiasm ratio out there while you are making tracks. Bring back great memories and sweet photos instead of tragedy.

paging mattchuck2 to the white courtesy phone... I'm contemplating a field trip to Snow Ridge on Saturday, you interested? They're saying 30" of new at the base, 40" up top. Seems like something that should be investigated.

Not sure what they showed on tv, but during a time out they threw a little vid tribute on the big screen while he's trying to 'coach' his players. It didn't take long and he was in the middle of the court watching the vid and waving to the standing ovation. My friend missed the whole thing taking a piss...the Mormons are correct...beer is evil

maybe the sherb will be fairly somewhat serviceable. then with some viz maybe later in the day some good visuals can be had of some potentially very exciting natural activity

Finals are a much different animal than regular class or work.

Do you know any fisherman? Trust me we get up earlier than you.
