30.4` bob with around 3/4" of new snow since 3pm yesterday. Road the wheel with Surface Whore yesterday for about two hours. Street groomers not so bad although slick in spots. Guns blasting wet on OG so we passed. Got the report from Padawan A that it was so wet it was slushy Some dumb cunt skied over the tails of my 4FRT's whilst I was waiting for Surface to strap in.[/fuckingweekenders] We just had to let the "flock of seagulls, everyone goes at once" group pass. Not that busy so wasn't too bad.

Looking forward to Saturday at the BEAST, should be there around 8:30-9. Who likes Bulleit?

Hoping they have Cascade lit up as that run was so good last year.

Skinned up Jay on Sunday. It was nice. I don't think I hit any rocks in Valhalla, good foot of light snow on top of some crustier stuff.

Overall a good day, fucking awesome for December 1st.

Skinned Sutton friday with similar conditions.. Felt soo good making some bottomless turns.. and if you did bottom out it was mostly crusty frozen non-rock matter

    views not that bad either

Ventured into the Laurentains Saturday and while they're on their way to a nice season, bottoming out there had more consequences

What's the pick of the week Rog? Tues or Weds?!

rudeness, tomorrow. c'mon down! I don't work till noon. the tides are retardo high tho, so i'll be out early. maybe it'll be big enough where it won't matter. think it'll be tapering on Tuesday overnight into Wednesday. was out on a mtb ride this am, popped outta the woods and rode by the beach and there are some really sweet longboard waves coming in. small but super clean.

surf has been decent for days. quiver is key Rog

Thanks for the binders bro! At first I thought that was your R8 in the parking lot Time to get those mounted up and maybe I'll make a turn or two soon.

Finished another new trail called 'gunshy' at my local ride. Avoids the pit some use for target practice occasionally. Met two 'kids' out there that are looking to build more berms and jumps. It's getting good!

I got it all covered. just being more selective these days. especially with the trail building/riding and whatnot.

nice. so rewarding. rode my trails this am. newest trail rode great and ties in nicely. tough riding tho now that the ground is unfrozen. good workout. quite a bit of up depending on how ya ride it. got quite a bit more to do, but the next longer section will be through much more trail builder friendly woods. not much brush/thwack.

Sweet shot. What zoom lens did you use for that? Or is that cropped to just the mountains in the picture (hence the resolution issue). That is a pretty tight shot of mountains that are 40 miles away
    Anyway, from left to right:
    Whiteface (aka Sterling)
    Madonna
    Cold Hollow Range (middle-ground)
    Mansfield

The small peak in the foreground is one of the bumps on the ridge leading off the west side of North Jay.

Been pumping out gear-related stories for the holiday rush over on the homepage, but thought you guys on the EC roll call might enjoy this 'kit collage' I did with the New England shredder in mind: http://www.tetongravity.com/reviews/...up-Guy-433.htm

You forgot a good (cheap) pair of jeans to wear with that Starter jacket on the hill. I wouldn't be caught dead in snowpants while repping the greatest football team in the history of mankind. Talk about a fashion faux pas.

Got an MRI on my knee last week. Called today and I'm almost positive the receptionist was retarded or something. Was in class and doc called me around 3, left message and said she'd be in until 5:30. Called them back at ~4, receptionist answered and I think she was confused as to what an MRI was, finally after 5 minutes of explaining the situation she goes to "look" (quotes? doh!) for the doctor. Wait on phone hearing nothing for 15 minutes and finally hang up. Call back at 5, inquire about speaking with doc a second time. Receptionist can't find her, says she'll try to have her call me back by 5:30 (when she was supposed to be leaving). No call. Take shower at 6:30, doc calls when I'm in shower, of course.

Hopefully I can get this figured out tomorrow.

Lapped the Sterling Lift at Smuggs in some fog up high then hiked the Notch road with the dog. Conditions were good considering its 12/1. snow softened up a bit after noon. I might try to make the mini on Sat for a half day en route back to PA depending on how long I stay up here. Nice stoke posted above. Anyone out lappin Smuggs this week, PM me.

    Multitasking !

EOB - Hope everything works out and the knee just needs a little rest...plenty of season in front of you, play it smart.

Moeghoul - Might head up on Wed. or more likely Thurs. morning to hike the road with the dog just to get a sniff of winter above valley elevation , not quite ready for sliding yet but getting close.
