Steel Reserve literally isn't even beer... Yuck! I remember drinking a 40 of that shit in college and had a headache as soon as I got drunk.

Trendy? Trendy is popular. Maybe up here in the sticks amongst IPA drinkers, but hardly a bud light or a coors light or even a PBR when it comes to trendy.

You still screwed me on the bike rack biatch! I ask you to get them and you blow a sale. Employee of the month

I prefer Lawson's. Glad to see that Alchemist comment did not go unnoticed in this thread though. That shit was unreal. Otherwise, it was a great issue. Printing that instagram of Wachusett to get that guy a keg was funny as hell.

+1 on Lawson's. If you're looking for something that is a nice balance between Heady and 2x Sunshine check out Grateful Hands Contentment. These guys are brewing some amazing beers and are based in Cabot, definitely worth a try if you can find it.

Heady's great, Lawsons has several that are great. Smutty big bottle brews are more win than not; Berkshire, MBC, Pretty Things...holy shit! Do we live in a great region for awesome beers?

Then, there's Picaroon's in Fredrickton, NB...I go that way on my trips to the Chocs. I have a couple of cases of some private labeled brew from Unibroue, of Quebec...

    Get thirsty!

Don't forget Hillfarmstead Brewery. And you can get a 1/2 gallon for $15 Rog. They have more beers in the top 250 of Beer Advocate Rankings than any other brewery. Hmm delicious.

I haven't had a Lawsons or a Grateful Hands yet, but that's something to look forward to.

Smutty is opening their new brewery in my back yard soon...really looking forward to that!

Decent waves lately. My kid was in bed at 8:30 last night after dawn patrol and then a second session after school til dark. It's good to be a kid

edit- the Smutty got me thinking about when exactly are they opening? Went to this site...the bottom time lapse is kinda cool. http://towlefarm.com

was he surfing the cove last night? i was there. fun lil waves and clean. hadn't surfed nh in since last december.

i get special pricing (1/2 off) from a local brewery with a nice selection of beers, so i go with that.

the ipa and esb are my faves.

Wall last night and I don't know where he and his brother were for the AM session. Was clean...they had good fun.

They've been skating and surfing with this kid who only goes to school part time and is tutored most of the time. He apparently is spancered and tours the skate scene. Kinda crazy. It almost seems to 'make it' at that level you need to start young. As a parent I'm just not sure it'd be worth it. I guess if my kid was that gifted or had that much potential I would look at it differently.

Ever heard of Fiddlehead brewery in (Shelburne?), they are a pretty small operation but you can get a 1/2 for $10 there, and the IPA is pretty good. It didn't taste like your standard IPA but was good.

Yea and a visit to the brewery. Went there a couple weeks ago and had a great tour. Didn't realize that Allagash pioneered bringing so many techniques to American brewing. I am going to buy a bottle of the next Cool Ship that comes out, if I can get my hands on some.

Come on Rog - don't be a tease! post the name:

SoMe Brewing Co. The guy doing it has been brewing great beer for years and now he's making his dream a reality. He's a great guy to boot and has been out in the ECBC for years. Lots of us have met him along the way. He should be open soon once the federal govt. gets its head out of its ass and grants permits.

great guy fer sure! lives closer to the beach than me, the lucky fucker. gonna get a weekly group mtb ride going in the (growing) local trail network. dave's a mtb'r and I think the brewery would be a perfect place to stage the weekly ride from. or at least end there.

p.s. surf was super fucking fun tonight. surfed under the full moon till I lost sight of the rocks lurking below

Just moved back to the mother east coast after a few years traveling out west. I'm living in the North Conway area. Hoping to hook up with some folks that know the area for some days up high once the snow starts to fall. Have touring experience and gear but won't bore ya with the details unless we're actually gonna ski together.

Have a pretty solid (not gross) couch and a sweet sleeping loft at my place 15 min from the pinkham notch visitor center that I'm very willing to share with anyone that shows me the witnertime lay of the land up on the rock pile.
