We're not making fun of him because he's wearing something different from the rest of us, we're making fun of everybody because he's wearing something that is the same as the rest of us, just maybe a little shinier and better.

That is why he is our leader and inspiration to cubical warriors everywhere.

I fear not for our apostle Freeheel. I am sure that in the presence of the GSA, he is surrounded by such a cloud of powder that he cannot get an internet connection through to update. Or maybe he's just too busy skiing.

Ha ha ha.. Is he?.. Sure about that?.. or is he floundering around, completely out of his depth, as so many of the 'all the gear, no idea' ilk do when blessed with piles of cash but no skill turn up in AK cos it's the rad thing to do and tell your buddies about back in the office.. doesn't seem to me that a guy that walks his skis on a cat-track, rather than skate, in order to access some intermediate terrain is all that competent.. I could be wrong of course..

BTW If that's blasmphemous then smite me down with a CHAMPAGNE POWDER covered pine branch..

p.p.p.s I ride steeps on a daily basis here at KHMR.. admittedly not quite as gnarly (or anywhere near as vert) as the gnarliest AK terrain but pretty darn close.. A couple of AK guides I know ride here prior to heading up in late-March.. so yeah, a little more extreme but not SO much.. Pretty sure many of the posters here ride as hard..

Brothers of the Gospel,
I apologize for my absence ... The GSA blessed us with 3 days of clear skies and deep snow. I am humbled to have witnessed the GSA in the land of the Chugach. He only appeared to me a few times, photos of one of these encounters are below. I was never given an audience with the GSA, he undoubtedly sensed that I was not worthy of such an honor.

However, His other mantras were revealed to us, emblazoned across His chest, the second being 'Battle Mode', and the third simply, 'Fast'. These mantras, when repeated on the top of a run in the Chugach, summon the GSA to your side and ensure every run will be the greatest of your life.

I thank the GSA for all He has done and for the opportunities He has given, and humbly submit the following stoke in His honor. I will retire now, my work is done and surely no experience hence forth will ever compare.
