IMO, if this had been a troll, it's nothing short of Larry David genius....

    Damn!

How could i miss that on my home mountain!! I'm going to pull a harness out of the shed this weekend and sport that thing in his tribute. In all honesty, a harness at PCMR does make sense. I mean the exposure on 98% of that mountain creates a high likelyhood of needing to rope up for access.

The GSA is Dead. Long Live the GSA.

Jan 22nd, I think it was McConkey Chair at PCMR (rip saucerboy) . I forgot to mention that he did have the contour HD rolling backup in case the go pro wasn't on, is this thing on? It was a powder day, so I didn't wait for GSA (at the time known as team f'in Xtreme) to get all of his cameras on, and powder cords in check. If GSA reveals himself, he is welcome as guest of honor at my Hot Dog Party.

Now I'm back in the UK I will have to pay homage to the GSA in the only way possible - I shall don my harness, helmet cam and skins and attempt a first ascent of the indoor snow slope at Milton Keynes.

Here's hoping that the reports of GSA self-awareness are wrong, but with any luck He will just lose the little wrist bag and consider Himself sufficiently "toned down"....

Sorry to be the bearer of such awful news. Call me Pontious Pilate, if you wish.

Do you speak the truth? This information, if true leads me to wonder and speculate what the GSAs reaction was when he became self aware and how he became aware. Did he mourn? Did he feel as if a great bolt of lightening From the heavens struck his soul? Did he have rage? Gather additional information and report.

Muad Dib had no idea that he was the one at first. But after he became self aware he did great things and led his people to the promised land. So for us, surely there must be some modicum of hope. If the GSA has become self aware, we can only hope that he will not be vengeful and that he will accept his role as leader and savior with humility and that he will have patience with us as we struggle to emulate his ways. I can only hope for myself that one day he will consider me worthy of breaking trail for him off piste.

    I believe!

So the GSA has become self aware and will no longer walk amongst us in his true form. Fear not, brothers, for this was in the prophesy!

We were not meant to forever seek the GSA in physical form but to carry him in our heart. Look now for the GSA in yourself. Every time you overcompensate for image sake you will find the GSA. The GSA will be with you when you buy a pack with external shovel carry just because it looks more 'core. He will be watching when you mount your skis with Dukes yet never intend to skin. When you spend too much on the latest outerwear you don't need he will be smiling. Every time a skier's gear and steeze exceed his skill the GSA will be there and, as such, he will be everywhere! Thank you, GSA. Hallelujah!

HOF worthy thread. If only for the complete and total TGR self introspection inspired and the subsequent philosophical musings of the highest gnar degree, alone. Not to mention GSA birthing fame.

The GSA has entered the pupa stage. His exoskeleton (and harness) has shed, and the metamorphosis has begun. Soon he will emerge, a glorious creature unrecognizable from his previous self.

I'm thinking head to toe Arc'teryx. Charcoal Gray.

sorry -- my faith is shaken

I am now alert for the Anti-GSA

Who will come bearing himself as a deliberate jokester who played us all from the beginning

But mark this person he will in fact be more charlatan than heretic,

As the true GSA recedes mere hucksters will attempt to fill his place.

    Be vigilant and train.

I ordered some Hestra gloves today. I know somewhere the GSA was nodding with approval. Between my TNF jacket and orange pants, I'm getting closer to Alaska, but my training is not yet complete.
