I totally get that everyone is a beginner skier at some point, but the helmet cam & youtube posting is pretty awesome. I ski much better than that (I'm no slayer like lots of mags) and my cam footage, had I made any, would not be for public consumption. Boring and subject to ridicule...

it never fails to amaze me how many gaper tourists complain about a powder/snowy day while on the lift...you want warmth and sun? take up another sport dummies

2 women on Blackcomb's crystal chair on a 30cm day, after waiting a full hour for them to get things running.

#1 turns to #2 near the top of the lift - "hmm, it doesnt look like much is groomed up here. Well, that's a real bummer."

Middle aged snowboard hating woman on skis behind us after telling her cohorts how much she hates snowboarders. Pointing at my wife's skis.
Look Burton is making skis now? What is next for them.
My wife was on her K2 burning luvs.
We had a laugh on the ride up.

As we get to the car park at Lake Louise today,
Some gaper couldn't make the swing and had to backup, go forward, back up again to make it in to the car park.
With other cars having to come to a halt to wait for this loser to get his shit together.

a very confused and slightly frustrated gaper skier older guy comes up to the counter holding an unfolded trail map and askes ...

I don't know how long gaper had been looking at the trail map, but fark!

You'd think after a half week of spring break I'd have a handful of great quotes, but so far the high point for me was the kid who got his snowboard caught in the chair somehow and swung around the bullwheel hanging upside down from it. Hitting the stop bar was probably the only thing that saved him from getting torn in half by the platform on the other side.
