low post # must mean i ski in a wedge . the gore / whiteface pass must be so i can ski at west mt.
when i get my licence i will go see this vt you speak of . dont worry i will not troll w/ you trolls.
just snip the gear with the thousands of other "gapers". Oh were east coast i mean jongs.

If I'm not mistaken, the poll choice was the DATES.

Every year we put it to a vote it ends up being Magic, so VTF was trying to save us the trouble of even asking in case you were wondering.

Really though, this place sounds pretty cool but the mini needs a litle bit more infrastructure to really work for everyone. I'd love to go check it out sometime, but the mini is just not it. No sense in getting your feathers ruffled dood.

Doesn't matter if he tells everybody on this site, where his stashes are on West Mt. That shit still will not ever get skied out. Nobody fucking skis there. He posted that shit in the wrong place, but whatever. I'm have to be at west mountain 2 weekends in the next month, so thanks... I'm gonna check that shit out.

And for the record... I like West Mountain.

Soooooo, who's got the couches and ticket deals? Man, I've wanted to do one of these for awhile now, but driving 3.5 hours SOUTH to go skiing seems wierd. Not to mention telling the wife I'm going to ski with a bunch of stangers I met online!

don't worry, what happens at Magic stays at Magic.... not really though.

Anyway, a few of us will probably get rooms at the Magic View which will then be occupied by far more people than originally intended.

Nihiles also told me that there is some floor space in between the two bunks in his room, and that no one has been stepped on yet. Which is pretty great. I mean, who wants to get stepped on by a naked dude?

I don't really care what date it is, I'll do my best to be there. Looking forward to seeing some you guys that I haven't shredded with in a while.

Let us rephrase that for you...We're asking for opinions of people who matter. Not yours. You've been here for a total of a month and a half at most, and you think you're important enough to tell people where and what they should do. I hate to break it to you, but we're big into traditions here, and we're big on supporting our local hill. Your low post count has nothing to do with the fact that we don't give a crap what you have to say. It's your attitude that pissed people off. Keep it up, you'll make friends around here really quickly.

Wait, you mean every weekend isn't a maggot mini at Magic?

So it looks like black magic/torchlight weekend or the week after are the frontrunners. Personally, I'd prefer black magic just b/c it's awesome. That said, it'd be nice to get a group to the hill on a day that wouldn't have as much going on already like early March (well, except that's my wife's bday, so I wouldn't get to hang much) - and note Matt has already commented on a lack of discounts for that late feb weekend. Of course, regular price at Magic = discounted everywhere else nearby.

And for those waffling about headed south - suck it up, you won't be disappointed.

FWIW, March 5th is the Castlerock Extreme at Sugarbush, stop 3 of the STE Freeride Tour. I know I'll be there, not sure how many other maggots were planning on competing but it would mean no summit for me if that's the date...

I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Sugarbush Castlerock Comp is on March 5th, and I do want to compete, as I'm sure many others do. So I would prefer the summit to be the 26/27th, the same weekend as the Black Magic Comp.

Just throwing that bit of info out there.

and for fucks sake why would we ever consider an event like this on a holiday weekend. Fucking rookies.

Are we going to make it to Burke this year or are you talking about a HUNTER summit again?

^^ yea it would be fun to take the party somewhere else.

a good handful of us are summiting at magic every weekend anyway.

would be fun to put our numbers to use and take over another ski area's/bar/parking lot/bump trail whatnot...

    how about middlebury?

oh wait, it's a dry mountain.
i bet a few folks are relieved

it's out of the way for many but plattekill would be fun.

almost thinking sugarbush might be the only other place that'd make sense, even though the vibe is a little too giant barn for me. maybe if i was 40ft tall it would work better. but would have the terrain/lift options.

edit: it's on a holiday? why don't we do it at some remote powder stash then?

I'm sure if we got enough people interested, we could get a group discount somewhere else in VT. I love magic and the people who ski it but it would be fun to have a change of pace.
