Doesn't need to be long to be good. The last five minutes or so is such incredible Type II ambience. The kind that made Phish famous.

When Mike comes in heavy with his effected bass, my face wants to melt and ultimately, I scrape it off the floor...

I wish they would turn up Page a little more. No love for Page.

Anyone out there know a good site to stream shows from this tour? Haven't heard anything yet. Any standout shows that I should just pay for the good recording?

Never thought a day would come when phish would cover Tom Waits!!! Anyone know how that one turned out?

Can't fucking wait for the Greek. Stoked on being pumped!!!!!!!!!!

I liked the cover. I think the most complete show is Chicago, but the jam of the tour so far is Number Line from Blossom. There's some real good auds, just download those and save your money.

last night was big fun, 11 song first set. highlights from first set Stash, When the Circus Comes to Town and full on summer funk Walk Away. second set featured one of the hottest Down w/ Diseases evah with nice extendo jam into Sand. no whale call last night. Jon Fishmen is on fiya! little taste of the first set highlight for me.

just wanted to add a few thoughts. tickets were everywhere, saw a lot of tics sold in the $20-$40 range. lot scene was hassle free, party zone. the whole scene seems mellower, phish phans maturing? anyhoo if your thinking about going, do it. phish is smoking hot right now

^^and while i didn't think it was possible, the lights are just sicker every tour. Golgi, Mikes-->Hydrogen-->Weekapaug

edit: regarding lot scene. Expo lot, undercover cops in a gray SUV, golf cart police, police on horseback, saw a vicious take down right in front of us, and a few busts, but I don't really know just how stupid they were to get arrested.

Wow, I'm out of the loop. Just checked in here last night and realized the tour is on. Glad to hear the boys are starting up the summer on fire...wish I was able to see them this go-around. Two questions: What's up with references to Trey's "whale call" and is hoodstream or anything of that sorts organized this year?

I think my biggest complaint now is that Trey is cutting off things too early. If you listen to the Blossom BDTNL, they did a great job getting into ambience and working out of it. Trey really starts to pick up the pace and the rest follow, but before he reaches the peak, he's on to the next song...

Still fucking awesome. That jam and Disease from last night are my two favs so far.

    KILLER show last night!

Possum, Julius, Cavern, Tweezer, Hood, Halleys, Reba, My Sleeping Monkey, Tweezer Reprise, and then Tweezer Reprise again, and while i didnt think it possible, The reprise reprise had an energy level that exceeded the first reprise, and Trey was bouncing all over the place. Just so sick. If it's possible to jam harder, i would like to see it, but it's doubtful

Hooooooooooooooooome on a train, why'd you send my monkey on a train............................................. .....? FUN x 10!!!!!

just got home from Saratoga, Tweezer Reprise to open and close tonight, holy shit. first set was a little flat with Axilla and Bathtub Gin being the highlights. second set rocked start to finish Page's new tune song was awesome and Show of Life roolz. second set highlight for me was BWDTNL tune works well live. and also David Bowie was excellent tonight.

Edit: just a few more thoughts on last night. the lot scene was wicked mellow. $10 parking and we never saw any security guys or cops anywhere. i was on the lawn last night and the sound was to low for most of first set, kinda took me out of it a little. they got it dialed in by BTG. second set was like one long sweet summer jam. go see phish, these guys are on it right now. tickets were once again easy to score

I caught 3 shows this past weekend (the 2 Hart, 1st SPAC) and had a blast. The Tweezer reprise (x4) reminded me of their goofy early days and each show had segments that were just amazing.

I'm looking forward to the end of the tour at Jones Beach.

i was confused as to what the "whale call" is. i thought it was that loop thingy Trey was using for awhile. thankfully it's not that. i really like the summer 2010 sound. hopefully Trey will open up the jamming a bit more. here is a much better version of one of the highlights from Hartford.

I'm gonna go ahead and disagree about show of life. that song is just not doing it for me at all. I loved the 2nd set on 6/19 but i could have done without that song. david bowie was fucking sick.
And seriously... is there another band out there that can get a crowd moving like they did sunday night during run like an antelope?

David Bowie was sick. And to all you doods wishing for type two jams, c'mon...they are playing tight, beautiful music. Well, except for Julius second night at Hartford...that was a mess.

MPP will be fire...and of course T-Ride is on the way. Summer is the best with Phish!
