Very cool! I saw it was one of them but couldn't catch which of the two. I saw those on the Moment site as Shelley Robertson's skis but didn't know Bahrke rode them too. It's very cool to see an American, and even better "local" (quotes cause I'm not that local to Tahoe), ski maker featured at the Olympics.

Figure since the Ski-Cross course is essentially the same as last year's WC, and the course is essentially done now it's ok to post some photos from course building. I ran the WC last year it was a suuuper fun course, but due to snow issues this year it forced them to get creative with building.

The course isn't a secret, all the athletes competing in the Olympics would have ran it last year in Jan for the WC. My buddy is a course builder and has been keeping us up-dated over the past few weeks... some pretty funny stuff in there.

The course last year was one of the most well built courses I've ever run, easily on par with the courses from the Ski-Tour/Jeep King of the Mountain. These guys have a real sense of pride in their workmanship. I have no doubt it'll run fine this year, they've worked wonders with little snow and a lot of improvising.

    Ignorant and racist, congratulations.

You do know that South Korea and North Korea are different countries, don't you?

If anyone is interested in either a ticket to Men's Skier Cross on 02/21 or the Women's Biathlon 4x6km on 02/23 I'll let them go for ticket price. Send over a PM.

Some really good action yesterday, women's moguls, short track and men's 5k long track, and the shortened men's luge. But the rioting downtown is a fucking travesty. It's ok to protest the shithole decisions gubberment makes, but terrorizing visitors and businesses? Proud to be Canadian

2 weeks in a stinky drunktank sounds fair.

The Japanese girl with the torn ACL already has a Gold from Nagano. No career ender there. Her career has been better than most will ever be.

NOW STFU you fucking racist piece of shit.

Hannah's Gold can now become a VT franchise.

Kudos to Hannah Kearney, Norwich, VT, - "I've skied on rocks, I've skied on ice, I've skied in the rain. This is nothing" - my new crush. Video:

Hannah Kearney won the Gold hands down. Congrats USA. Watching it last night my heart sank because you could see just how perfect Hannah's run was.
I wanted Jennifer Heil to win the Gold of course but we are proud of her Silver Metal.

Are you referring to when the flame was waning and he handed it off for a fresh one from the guy in the back? Not that the back of truck in the rain thing wasn't goofy, I just don't think he managed to drop the torch. I thought he looked a bit pained with that whole portion like he thought it was odd.

Even a Canadian commentator missed the handoffs. I think he handed off in the airlock too. The comentator pondered how Gretzky's torch could last so long since when he carried it the thing only lasted 15 minutes.
It's not so much the model year, it's the high mileage or meterage to keep the youth of Canada happy

The women's moguls was a great event. Got to hand it to Kearney for throwing it down.

Definitely, Kearney rocked it, Heil was awesome - but let's not forget Bahrke. Shannon Bahrke was fantastic in her final run.

McPhie was good but IMO the top three were defintely a strong cut above the field in extemely tight execution. The difference between Bahrke, Heil and Kearney did not seem as big as the difference with the rest of the field. It was a pretty great event for sure.

so if they often use hay bails to make moguls and stuff, is "Where do the put the moguls in the Summer?" a legitimate question?
    No longer stuck.
