i probably would have enjoyed today more had i not jacked up my back a couple runs in. didn't really want to stray too far from the groomers after that point.

but the weather was pretty good, no one was there, and my friends who hit up the ridge said that they found some good snow.

Did they open slushies? Or are they going to stick to what seems to be the original game plan and hold it 24 hrs. or so after a big snow event?

1" to 2"/hour at points early this morning!!

Slushmans did not open today. I think the game plan is still 24 hours after the storm ends, which means it probably won't be open tomorrow. Oh well.

cold air makes for nice cold snow. And cold toes.

Was fun, fun, today. Especially when the sun came out for two runs at mid day.

heading up right now. 4 months of awesome, here we come.

I'll be up, wearing a green flylow puffy and tan patagucci pants skiing on BD verdicts with dukes and a big yellow smith sticker. Give a shout if you see me. I'd love to ski with a mag today.

I had a good day today. List of lines went like this: Ptarmigan, ptarmigan, stupor, stupor, phone booth (sucks right now), PK groomer run, flippers, hangover/jaws? (see pic), flippers, three bears bowl, bridger groomer run.

By far the best part of the day was first tracks down this:

Twas very tight at the top but very very nice down low. Does this have an official name yet? I've heard it called hangover and jaws.

Ya, that is Jaws 1. or so I've heard it called.

At least it isn't named after yet another patroller "who has been skiing here for like... 20 years. So he deserves it".

That was a bit negative, wasn't it? Sorry.
