    Jim Cramer going to jail?

Stewart interview was good, but check out the interview that he was showing clips from. You know it's going on to some extent, but Cramer talks about the market manipulation so casually. Not enough evidence alone to put him in jail, but its pretty damning.

edit: here is the stewart/cramer interview.

Old old video. But yes, he's no different than most financial types, he wants to make money as easily as possible with as little risk as possible and will probably sacrifice whatever morals to do it.

Cramer is a masochist, he knew what he was getting into and went on the show anyway. Just would have liked to see him stick to his guns a bit more. Stewart's a douche though, the guy doesn't know shit about the financial markets so instead of a real discussion we ended up with this.

Odd state of affairs when the hardest hitting interviews on TV come from a comedy show.

What guns? I didn't see any guns. He looked like a child being scolded. I'm not sure why he would let Stewart completely set the tone and direction of that "discussion". He basically went back and forth between playing the victim, appologizing, and being completely speachless. While I think that Stewart can be huge douche and it's clear he has no real understanding of financial markets, he did raise some valid points. However, it is a shame Cramer didn't use the opportunity to educate Stewart a little rather than just let himself get shit on.

I know quite a bit about the financial markets. Cramer could have been more articulate in his answers, and I've always been a fan of his. He showed brass balls going on this show. It was uncomfortable to watch. Stewart asked legitimate questions about the real economy vs. the made up Wall Street economy. It's absolutely true that peoples' retirement funds are investing in the same companies whose stocks are being manipulated (no connotation intended) by Street traders. It has been seen as a game and now we're finding out it's not so much.

Cramer is a flat out moron- pretty much everyone on on wall st thinks so and always has. He is entertainment at best- watching him is akin to watching pro wrestling. At worst he will be proven to be like Dan Dorfman- this would not surprise me. He's pals w/ Spitzer, after all.

You can say the same to a certain extent about CNBC in media in general. Like all news, you need to consider their potential motives/bias as well as their ability. Anybody who take everything they see/hear/read/etc at face value q/out making these considerations gets what they deserve IMHO.

Agreed. It just seemed Stewart was alluding to the fact that cnbc somehow colludes with traders to screw over the 401k owners, which is absolutely ridiculous. At the end of the day Cramer bent over and took it and hopefully now they both can move on.

This is the whole key- if youre tossing your 401K or whatever based on what you "learn" on CNBC or any other program, you deserve to lose it. Watching tv doesnt make anyone smarter or make their picks any better, you need to know first hand what youre doing. Cramer is an entertainer for now. He used to be a fund manager- charitable trust aside. Theyre all entertainers. They remind me of the people sitting around the desk during NFL Live or Fox NFL Sunday. They know exactly what goes on in the games and can talk somewhat intelligently about the subject, but are you going to take the Jets because Michael Strahan thinks theyll win?

For every reason Cramer points out to be bullish or bearish, there are just as many things pointing the other way. Otherwise, its legalized gambling with your own money. Cramer can recommend all the stocks on his show, but that doesnt add up to a diversified portfolio anyway.

the only one constant with the market is that pretty much everyone involved really doesn't know shit about it.
