I am NO engineer, but it seems to me that you are exceeding the intended performance parameters of the designs in question. It looks to me that you are pushing the boundries of the designs, and the designers need to engineer some newer product that is tailored for where you are taking the sport.
    WOOT, you PIONEER!

I think the carbon helps a lot with keeping the ski strong.
I can't do much about the chair breaking.
I don't mind that Andy breaks skis.
I hear the sitskiers cherish the Bros because they break less often than other skis.
Ain't no way in hell Andy can break the 195s he'll be using in Aspen.
    Whatchya thinkin?

I dunno...I just remember when we were first boarding, we had to engineer our own boots/liners and bindings in order to land jumps without blowing up. I was also thinking about Bill Briggs customizing his setup with metal for the Grand...

One may deduce that the carbon bros outmatch the seat in strength and look damn cool.

    Good luck at the games.

I'm not an engineer either, but I do play one in real life.

At the Gheek a while back a sitskier was in line behind me and I noticed his ski was broken upward right in front of the binding, he didn't know till I told him.

The problem is all your weight is on 1 ski instead of 2 (Yes, I have a rd degree black belt in Mastery of the obvious) so I'm not surprised they break.

If it was me I'd cut 18" or so off both ends of a ski, then T-bolt that to the top of another full ski, but only T-bolt it under the binding so that as the ski flexed the ends of the top ski could slide on the top sheet of the full length bottom ski.

I was actually just in steamboat early this week, saw a ton of sitskiers there, pretty rad to see 4 of you guys all mobbing down the hill!

Awesome - one of the best TRs of the year!
Looks like a lot of fun.

I am wondering if you could maybe mount the seat to ski with some kind of modified custom riser plate ?
*Might* help stop them ripping out ?

I hadn't set the rebound on my shock absorber properly, so when I landed the shock compressed then launched me another 15 or 20ft where I stopped.
This shock absorber, can it be 'pre-charged' to launch you 20ft from the TOP of a drop? That's the only conceivable way I can imagine this TR being any better.

Andy! it was nice to meet you, glad you found enough time to come out this year.

I saw the bent 192 down at the base on Friday night w/o the bucket and frame.. figured you were installing new bolts on your rig. I guess it was a little bit more work than that, but hopefully you got everything dialed in yesterday.

I hope you had a good time on buff until your rig broke. Found this picture on the powder cats photo gallery.

Marko, great to meet you too mang, sorry my skiing ws so crap when you came for some turns with me, I was in the ski all wrong and it was really screwing me up. After you left I went back down to the base and got out of it so I could get back in it properly.

The security are looking at the tpes from the stairwell so maybe they'll find something on them.

FTA - "The throne he so rarely likes to leave is old and chipped, with ugly scars of well-worn metal bleeding through the dozens of places the dull orange paint has been scraped away."

Thats a pretty cool article man. My bucket (sitski) does look old and battered, but it's only 4 years old, I just abuse the hell out of it. I'm probably going to get a new one this summer I think but they cost like $4000.
