    Uh ? That's a single engine ?

Edit : Ok, that's a Buell Blast. We don't get those, overseas. That would be great commuter, with the belt, in Paris.
    Edit 2 : 4700$, 34 hp... I see why they don't cross the ocean...

I'm sure that's fast but it sure is butt ass ugly.

In fact, that is one of the fugliest bikes I have ever seen. Is there any flowing line on it anywhere?

Its like a frankensteins monster of jumbled parts bolted together in a haphazard fashion.

meh...everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I personally like the styling a lot. "Flowing lines" aren't really the intent of the design, it's a naked bike...engine, suspension, wheels & tires; no fancy designs here other than the single sided swing arm.

That picture doesn't really do it justice (it was the first one I came across)...this one looks much better.

Those shorty and GP cans have been pretty popular as of late. Personally I like the look of a high mount or a clean under-tail on a sport bike. Now if I could only find a nice high-mount for mine...

Just picked up my first pig also.

'03 Honda Shadow Spirit 750. Originally wanted a 650 V-Star but it didn't feel quite right when I sat on it at the dealer. Jumped on the Shadow sitting next to it and it felt like a perfect fit.

    late posting on MC's

Late to the party but love the thread. Here are a couple of my lovelies....addicted to two wheels for all my life. It is an expensive addiction but better than insanity. Speed - 996SPS, Pure dirt - WR450, Everything - KTM 950 Adv, race - KTM LC 640. A few pics including our Baja team from last year.
The wife - just got her second bike - Ducati Monster S2R...man it makes her butt look fast! She is now the coolest high school teacher in the district!

I want one of these so badly, now the image size is better, and it should appear. Absolutely gorgeous is a gorgeous bike. I know there is a lot of Harley hate here, but I don't love it because its a Harley, I love it cuz its just plain badass looking. Love the simplicity of it. I know what my next few summers worth of paychecks are going toward.

There are many naked bikes that aren't Speed Triple Fugly (look at the recently mentioned Ducati Monster s4.) The one thing that bothers me the most are the Bug headlights, but that's their "trademark."

I'm rethinking my desire for a sport tourer...
Maybe I'll just take the bonnie, put a 1200 big bore kit, new pipes, airboxremoval, clip ons and a new seat...turn it into a proper cafe racer.

Clearly style preferences. I like the bug headlights a lot...definitely a character attribute of the bike. But then I again, I really hate the headline on the newer model GSX-R's...so to each his own I spose.

Speaking of other nekkid's...here's another one I lust after. My Dad has one, everytime I make it back to the west coast to see the family, I make I put some miles on this baby...

Don't get me wrong, I love the look of a good cafe racer, but with as much effort as you would have to put into it, why not just buy a Busa (or other big bore bike), strip the plastics and replace the gauges and headlight?

forgive my wanting to be "cool", but with all the squids on 'busas, R1s, gixxers, etc around here, I like being the guy with the brit bike. and making it into a bike that can hold its own against those is not all that difficult. big bore and opening up the airflow can easily double the hp, getting it into the 120+hp range. And the cost of those mods is about equal to what I'd spend to change to a liter jap bike.

That, and I want to learn to do some of the work myself...

It's all dreams right now anyway. Closing on the new house 6/14 so I'll be recovering from that for at least a few months.

No argument from me mate, it sounds like a cool project; one I wouldn't mind taking on myself someday...just posed the question out of a curiosity. Remember....I am the guy with the Brit bike

for the last few years i was sure i wanted a speed triple once i could afford a bike. used to have a norton commando, then a yamaha fzr 1000, right now i have a beater '86 honda interceptor 500 that has such bad brakes, i think a thrown rod, and spent suspension that im kind of scared to ride it.

but lately i have been looking at the buell lightning XB12Ss and i think this is the bike for me. i really like the naked bike styling, plus its an american bike. anyone have (or ridden) one?
