Yup, I was unemployed all Winter and loved it. I lost track of my ski days but it's somewhere in the low 100's. I'm going to keep it going at Hood all Summer, and I'll be employed!!!

I really wish I didn't loose track cause with hood, this is going to be a lot of ski days.

    Another good point.

But again, whoever this person is.....just trying to defend him....there may be that something else as aforementioned that he would be "missing out" on even more because that's what he would rather do.

Huh, I think even I have a good point, but that's just me...in fact I think that is the point.

Hmmm.....who was it that told me, oh maybe two months ago, not to worry about tele comps this year, just get my knee strong again and do it next year. I can't remember, do you Liz? That was one of the reasons for learning the Lincoln, probably the main one in fact.

A pussy...pretty strong words I would have to say, but on that note, sacking up to keep skiing has no appeal if there is something I would rather do. IMO, ice/slush, whatever you want to call it does suck, contrary to popular opinion, sorry.

Ahem, uh, kids, be nice now.

    Edit: Woodsy, very good point.

I was riding the park chair at Snowbird thinking, "Man, I need more of this. I'm not ready to quit yet... HOOD! Yes!"

When are you going to be up there midg?

Okay, this is it then I'm done.

When the snow is good, there is nothing more that I would rather do than ski, NOTHING.

(BTW, I was there on saturday looking for you.)

But in late March, early April when riding is really good, snow sucks, again IMO, I would rather ride.

Phil, you know i'm just giving you a hard time.

Yeah, i said get that knee strong, i need to do that as well...but you claimed to love skiing so much and spend a lot of money on it, why would you give that up when you can ride AND ski in the spring?

I'm still skiing. I also ride my bike. I just hope that if you spend that kind of money on a dual again, you use it. I'd make the most out of that pass my dear.

So, sack up and ski with us this weekend would ya?!!

Phyllis, it's all about what we want you to do, not what you want to do.

We know best, end of story.

Speaking of which, let's hit the Bird park tomorrow. phUnk's shins hurt too bad (bwah!).

If you're missing out on skiing because you're sitting on your ass bitching about conditions, shame on you. If you're out biking because it's perfect biking weather and by the time skiing's actually done it will be to damn hot to stand riding during daylight hours anymore, I totally respect that.

I do regularly ski in the morning and bike in the afternoon on weekends, but if I feel like skipping a weekend of spring skiing for Moab while the weather's nice, I still got my moneys worth out of my dual pass and I'm not going to feel bad about it. I want to get my money out of my new bike too.

don't worry telephil, i was enduring crap for a while because i chose 2 wheels over 2 sticks for the remaining part of the ski season. However, all naysayers have pretty much forgotton about me. and the naysayers that happen to bike and just started riding can't keep up, so my ego has been remaining stoked Too bad my place at the back of the pack will soon be reality again

Hey, remember what it was like when you weren't within arms reach of skiing? Remeber what it was like in the cube farm? You have been set free, and though the moment may seem like it will last forever, it is very likely that you will once again fall under Lumberg's iron fist. And when you return to serfdom, you will wonder why you didn't enjoy every single day out there.

I blew it this season. I slacked off and got depressed over money and unemployment in January, and didn't squeeze enough in during feb and march. Now I have a job, the money worries are going away, and all I can think about is how I would trade it to go skiing. But I can't go. The days of groomer bombing and corn hunting will pass me by. I failed to achieve some of my skiing goals for the year. Now I'm chained to the desk, and on friday when I'm released, I have to deal with moving 400 miles downstate. My goals will not be realized, and I might be lucky to get three more days this season.

    Get out there.

    Live the dream.

    For those who can't.
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

Lazy Bones AND his "Friend" should be posting reports of evening corn session... at a minimum. Shit if I lived in **** **** *****, sans job, I'd circumnavigate the ^^^^^^^^^^ Wilderness, solo, just for shits and giggles.

Seriously, you got another two weeks until the play-offs and you better be leading on the up-track and not drafting the desk jockeys.

On a slightly more serious note: I just love to give TelePhyllis a hard time, it's what I do. He'll smoke me on the mtb trails all summer, no doubt. Much love for T-Master Phil.

Also, I've never ended a season without wishing I had skied more. Even when getting 70-100 days a season.
