    Fall in Maine.

Yesterday was a good day down at the rivermouth. Conditions have to be just right to lure me away from my home break, especially if the alternative means driving to a crowded break an hour to my south. This is Maine, after all, so crowded means there are 3 other guys out, but 3 >> 0. Still, we clearly made the right choice.

    It's a good life.

    Nice pics!

Was that during high tide? Looks like the waves didn't last too long.

Midtide, incoming. It was better earlier (on the dropping side of mid), but that's when I was in the water.

I suspect SuPu would fit in just fine in that town. It is known to cater to those with "San Francisco" preferences.

Nice. I managed to make it out at Scarborough, which was surprisingly fun!

Vey nice - I miss the autumn in Maine, even when the surf is small. Tide looks a bit high for the rivermouth. I was back there this summer, just so you know Wells Beach was rocking the high tide sandbars - from the jetty, south about 200 yards.

Also heard the inside harbor mouth bar was working on the super low tide days; just don't let Harbor Master Bill catch ya.

The last yaer I lived up there I got the rivermouth with 12 foot faces, mid-high tide dropping out. It was breaking inside of the point about 100 yards north and reeling for 150 yards before closing out. A sick day for sure.
