    "Cabin." Heh.

As long as you can comfortably navigate a black diamond run you should go to this. I wish I could again this year but finances just wont' allow as I've already got 4 days in Utah lined up for mid Feb, doing it on the cheap and I can't afford the camp price on top of that. Last year was a blast and there were lots of less-than-godlike skiers there. If you want to improve, go and learn.

I hope to be there again next year.

Dookey67,whats up? You have the skillz.I was the JONG in the "A" group last year."A" Group did quite a bit of hiking ."B" group seemed to bag some of the same terrain but with less laps/hiking."C" group a little less the "B" group. You can jump around from group to group if you want to step it up or chill for awhile. You can even take a break and meet your group on the hill if you want.Cell phones are used during the day by the coaches.Last years camp gave me the tools to handle what the mountain offered.Pretty cool, thats why I`m going back. The way I look at skiing certain lines changed also. The people in your group will also have some great tips .Everyone critiques your skiing, not just the coaches. You should sign up for the Jan. Camp. Get the skills early in the year so you can use them for the rest of the season.

^^^What he said. If you can land a 40 foot huck switch you'll be fine

You ski to the level you feel comfortable with, but the couches and the group will challenge you and stretch you a bit to improve your skills. Hell, if that poser Twins can do it so can you.

Sign up ASAP, there can't be too many spots left, you can do this camp, and you will come away a better skier. If you still aren't sure PM Str8line, and talk to him. That is what I did last year.

Is anybody staying a few days after camp? I am thinking of possibly staying Monday and Tuesday to put some of this to good use.

Dookey67 - What they said. You should go for it.

Hutash - I might stay for Monday.

AKBruin - Thanks for the link to the other units - I'll e-mail a couple of them and see what can be arranged.

So far, I have the following expressing interest in putting the lodging thing together:

    LBSKI
    AKBruin
    TWINS
    Jim S

A couple more makes this doable - Hutash?, HobieTony?, Tarkman1?, DrWhat?? (It's BYOC - Bring your own chablis).

I maybe interested. Last year I stayed in the room Gordy set up, which was super convenient, but would like to get in an extra day or two.

A lot will depend on transportation too. Is anybody driving up from soCal or flying?

If we have to drink chablis, you can count me out. A selection of reds will likely be in my suitcase though, if that is acceptable.

I`m all for a carpool from Socal if possible.Plus count me in for the extra day or 2 after the camp.It sure would be nice to ski in /out at the Bird. Would be worth the extra jack to stay within walking distance IMHO

Looks like it's coming together - Thanks LBSki for the push on the lodging.

On another note, it is still 85 degrees here, and I think we will be camping in Puerto Lobos, Mexico for Thanksgiving, instead of skiing the 1% open terrain at Wolf Creek. (Sorta trading one Wolf for another) Thought the sailing season was over, but there you go.

Str8line called and confirmed my spot today, which promptly caused me to neglect all work and watch ski segments on YouTube for a few hours.

LBSki- Thanks again. Str8line seemed to think the Sugarplum was a good place, so let's definitely do it. (I might also have a co-worker willing to crash with us.) Like Hutash, I think I'll bring a couple bottles of red (perhaps some Chateauneuf) to ease the pain at night.

Dookey87- He said there are 5 spots left, so get on it.

If you're interested in splitting housing, let me know. whitehunter did a kickass job planning our condo last year, i feel the need to pay it forward and will take the helm on that.

OK, I just signed up for the January camp in Utah. When I first saw this thread I thought it would be pretty cool to bump the skills up, but never got serious about it. Life changed recently with the sudden passing of my father, so I said "F" it. Life is short. Have Fun. Anyway, I am psyched to head back to Alta, and would definitely be interested in hooking up with a group housing deal, so count me in on whatever.

    Scott

Edit: I am planning on arriving Thursday and departing on Tuesday. Plan to ski Monday.

Yep, I'm here. Just lurking more than posting lately.

The January Utah camp has 1 spot left.

The February Utah camp has 3 spots left.

As mentioned previously, Whistler is sold out.

And of the 2 weeks in Alaska, one is full and the other might have one or two spots open(although I'm waiting to hear back from a few people and it might be sold out also).

I'm really looking forward to seeing you all(again, for many of you) and having a great time.

It's majorly cool that the gordycamps continue to do so well. You mags will have a great time. Press of business won't allow me to go this year, but next year will be peciled in.
