It looks like I'll be elbowing my way into the Kirkwood crew next season. I just told my current boss that I won't be coming in no more, and I'm movin' outta state!
Here's the down sides:
- I'll no longer be in very close proximity to skiing
- no more snow right outside my door
- I'll miss miles and miles of mountains, valleys and trails yet to be explored
- no more living in a small town right in the mountains
- no more creek in the front yard
- no more Coloraggots or Crackhouse Spectaculars
- now I gotta be a "touron" instead of a snobby local
- no more shit-kicker country band
Here's the upside:
- no more shit-kicker country band
- musicians with backrounds other then jam-band crap, country or classic rock
- no more snow outside my door
- I get to hang with the Norcal crew
- brand new miles and miles of mountains, valleys and trails to explore
- decent pay instead of slave labor
- an actual forseeable career advancement instead of vague promises that will likely never come true
- fewer Lumbergs (I'll be my own Lumberg with my own set of TPS's for myself)
- my very own cubicle
- a better male/female ratio 'cause, good God it's TERRIBLE here
- fewer cracks in windshields
- less icy roads
I already have a place lined up to live, sharing a houseon 10 acres out in the boondocks near Lincoln with two relatively young, nubile nymphomaniac lesbian nudists. I don't have much indication yet, but I'm pretty sure they're nymphomaniac lesbian nudists.
Actually, one of 'em is moving out to be replaced by a large Hawaiin guy and the other's a blackbelt and into kickboxing. Egads...what have I gotten myself into?
DJSapp may be gone, but I'll be his replacement. I call it trading up.
I should be out there within the next two weeks. I may have a pseudo-housewarming BBQ or something like that in the near future. If I do, I'll let you all know!
