    Thumbs up 6 Months Post OP-ACL Recon-Today!

    Cleared and cleared.

Brace with snowsports. Other sports like and basketball, tennis, ......you know, the things I don't do.

10-15% less muscle in quad than good leg. Got a bit more to do and then stay strong.

New bindings for my new board came Monday too!

    Bye.

Thanks guys!! Hoping Mr. 261 gets the nod of ultimate approval as well!!!

Turns at Soli for sure. I am passed for Sundays and Mondays.

    SOLISUNDAY!!!!

I still have a bit of pain when running, but I can kneel down in a baseball catchers position and tough my heel to my butt! My ROM is very good, doc was impressed.
Just need to boot up a few mountains to get in some better shape and push the quad on my bike while I still have the time.

Lots of us knee people about to be cleared.

So, are you a bit scared to get back on it?

I am, a bit. 2 runs in and I think all will be right in the world again though.

I got cleared a few weeks ago as well...

Though, I decided that I'm AOK a week or so before I saw my doc and celebrated it by going to this sufferfest.

My legs still lag the endurance, but the power seems to be when climbing and bouldering. I'm more or less back at my previous level, at last in bouldering (still lacking the stamina, so routes are a no go for me... gotta hit the gym more this winter to be in shape for spring/summer).

Congrats to all recovering. And here's to hoping for a splendid season for my fellow gimps.

I'm cleared and ready for the season as well. My knee feels great, the only thing that seems be behind the good one is resistance to hyper extension which I think may be due to stiffness from creaming my hamstrings at the gym. I'm getting a brace to be sure though.

I am 4.5 months out... still some patellar pain and some lateral stability issues... but I'm working it out like a MF. Since I'm in CT... I have some extra rehab time before the snow flies. Saw the DR last week and he told me I'm good to go (with a brace, of course) for December.

Two Donjoys (one for each knee)... some new baggier pants (to fit the braces)... and I'm good to go.

Little nervous about the woods... still don't know how I did it. Snow snake maybe...? Will probably still to the groomers the first few times out- at least that's the plan.

    Woot!

Just went to the doc today for the 6 month post-op check up and was cleared to ski with a brace. At first he said sometime in Jan, then he revised and said I could start whenever the snow comes, just to be careful and not get re-injured. I had to remind him I did get in ~60 days braced without the acl last year with no injuries, no way am I going to put myself in position to get re-injured.

Also got the official ok to resume running on a track and treadmill. It's been ~11 months without what used to be a daily addiction.

Awesome, sounds like my fellow knee gimps are doing quite well.

I have the Donjoy Defiance brace I have to use for a year, but I had them fit it while I had my snowboard boot on so it did not interfere.

Ordered some Aegix A1 pants the day before surgery, so I am anxiously waiting to put on them bad boys over the brace and get at it. Plenty of room and really nice pants. Plus the pads in certain places can only help.

Since the doc said I will maybe last a few hours my first few times out due to muscles that have not been used in a LONG time, I am going to wait till the lifts spin at Soli (shooting for Nov 16) and get er done.
Hesitant to hike now so I don't wear the knee out on the way up.

Be careful, don't be a hero your first day.

It is going to be a good, long season!
