    TR: Zion NP

I did a search but found no trip reports from Zion. Weird, as I'm sure a lot of you have been there before.

    Road to Zion.

    Something about that tree...

Heading up to the West Rim.

On the way out, near Virgin.

My first time there; I just did the standard popular hikes. I wanna go back.

nice pics. i was up there last weekend, we did the observation point hike:
    foliage at the top:

getting stormy 2000' above the narrows (actually it was snowing up top):

couple pics looking towards angel's landing and the entrance

can't compare to your pics, but I thought i'd share a slightly different perspective
really a cool place, definitely worth the trip

We're going back again the weekend after next, hoping for red foliage and snow.

Zion=sweetness, although it's been very crowded both times I've been up there.

Nice TR. I was out there over the summer, but it was way too crowded and we were pushed for time so we missed hiking to Angels...one of these days.

Great pictures.I fuckin love zion. Shit, squirrelmurphy one of the coolest hikes there,Mystery Canyon, starts just behind that first photo. Its one of the sickest hikes in Zion.
We went there in April and hiked all the standards hikes, plus the top three IMO--Narrows,Subway and Mystery Canyon. You end mystery canyon by doin a 120ft rappel(the last of 12) into the Virgin river Narrows. One of the coolest views i've ever seen.
    Subway

My Old-skool Cuzzin Tom,rap'n Mystery Canyons final drop into the Virgin River Gnarrows!!

Your in a waterfall too so that just makes it even more cool. But slick.

    Nice place!
I have been at all the other parks around there, but somehow never made it too Zion.
It's definitely on the list for next time.

    Thanks for sharing.

    very nice.

I have a future kayak trip down through Zion on the Virgin on my "to do" list. The whitewater isn't that difficult, but it's one of the best ways to see the park.

Try it on a full moon. No one is around and the view at night is amazing.

Nice. We tried to do Narrows from the top down three times on our trip and we're turned away everytime. Had to settle for bottom up w/ the gapers

Oh,shit, that reminds me. In Muted's third post in this thread, top picture on the right---My brothers gf and i were walking around the corner to just about where he took this picture from, and a fuckin woman is squattin down takin a shit by that top pool. She thought the only people that would come upon her would be from below her, since technically your not supposed to go pass that point w/o a permit. Nasty shit. Damn, was she embarassed. And fugly. She took her goddamn time though, even though she and her hubby knew we stumbled upon her droppin turds in Orderville.

My favorite place in the world. You haven't lived til you've seen a flash flood through there... car-sized boulders crashing down the river... sounds like a goddamned freight train! But one of the most awe-inspiring things I've ever laid eyes on...

Very nice, looks very uncrowded. I am heading down there next week, how was the weather, was it real cold at night?
