    I'm employed

After a two year drought of employment in programming, I *finally* got a job doing what I like doing best for work: designing and building custom business applications. No more stints doing customer service etc.

Stoked I am, to say the least.

Not to mention that my boss is a close friend, the projects are interesting and there's pretty much unlimited growth potential. Oh, and the office is 5 minutes from my house and about 25-30 minutes to the Snowbird parking lot.

    Finally.

Congrats on finding proper employment. I think you reinforced the "it's not what you know, but who you know" employment reality.

Tons. Microsoft MSN, Discover Card, Verizon, eBay, and a bunch of other big companies have call centers here.

Not to worry. Once I get past the 90 day probationary period, I'm gonna ask for a powder day clause in my contract. Namely, don't expect me in the office before 3 PM if it just snowed 12"+ the night before .
