Ideas for a DIY camera lcd hood?

So, as you all know shooting outdoors in bright light with the screen instead of the eye-piece can really be a bitch. Anyone have any suggestions on how I could make my own lens hood?

I was thinking something along the lines of some velcro flaps so that it can be folded back and left on the camera when its in its case.

    Any ideas?

    thanks

Use the viewfinder. The color LCD screens are too low res to really see the critical focus.

Here are a couple that don't look so great, but you can use different materials and more care to make a professional looking hood. Just use these as a design base.
