    FS: Scarpa Spirit 3 27.0

So I bought a pair of Spirit 3's off of a craigslist add stating they were 27.5. They were not I found out after several hours of extreme discomfort wearing them while trying to figure out what the hell happened.

They are in excellent condition. Last years model. Heat moldable liners that according to the original owner have never been truly baked, only warmed up to do an initial fitting, and judging by the liners it seems true.

The soles have minimal wear, with only the toe area having scratches/scuffs. I'll get some pics up later.

Size 27.0, boot sole length 305mm, 8/9 shoe size. 27 and 26.5 have the same shell size.

If I don't sell them here I'm going to bring them back. Looking to get my $$ back so $330 shipped.

Also I'm looking for a 27.5/28 shell spirit 3/4 if anyone's got one.

Wow that was fast. These were original pictures sent by the craigslist guy. I'll take some more later.

yep. tried on a pair of 26 and 26.5 last week. 26.5 seemed a little roomy but didn't have my custom footbeds in em. 26 seemed too snug. jury is still out.

Yea we usually do Jay 5-6 weekends and at 450mi/each way it adds up. Crazy huh...but we've been doing it for 6 or 7 years back when we were living in the NYC area and haven't been able to stop.

    But back to the boot,
The boot's have sole shims, I'm guessing about 5mm. They take up quite a bit of space, not that it should make your decision. The liners will mold up when baked, also not a decision maker. What I would go buy is the shell size. 26.0 has a bsl of 296 I believe, while 26.5/27.0 has a bsl of 305.

I did try these on (of course they're extremely tight, no space behind the heel on the shell fit) with the crap footbed which is really thin and does not support nearly enough for a properly size foot.

These will go up on ebay rather than dealing with returning them to the seller if no one's interested.

I've got the same size 27.0 Tornados and the Spirits are a bit shorter in the liner. Nothing a little bake and strech won't fix though. Going to have to punch the foot knuckle area a bit, same as the tornados. feel like great boots.
