Utards snowing??? .... bring back DTM

I can't tell what it's doin up at Alta .... temps indicate - dare I say - that it could be snowing. And with the NW flow we are sure to git sum tonight.

But, it sure would be nice if DTM got his AC lovin' butt back here; last pow day was when the kid was here.

Anyone wanna take up a pool to buy him a plane tix back?? Might be our only chance at more pow this season.

Is it possible to jinx a rainstorm into becoming something worse?

    I sure hope not.

Trust me...I try everyday to get DTM back here with my uber smoooov ways, but school is important these days.

And the temps are getting cooler...that would be rad if there was some accumulation up there.

I just talked to friends up there, the snow level's been hovering at about 9000 feet all morning, there's about 2" of wet stuff piled up...if you don't mind zero vis, I'm told there are some good turns to be found...

    To Whom it May Concern:

I would like to unselfishly state that it has snowed at Alta in feet everytime that I have ever visited there.

I am available to fly in for the weekend from TYS, BNA, or ATL anytime that the Utah Deptartment of Tourism or anyone else would like to purchase me a ticket.

I prefer accomodations at the Peruvian but couch surfing is also acceptable.

    Sincerely,

    Teledave

Just got a VERY bad report from an Alta patroller. Raining up to 10k, heavily. Snowpack is rotten, lots of wet slides. Low Notch completely slid out. Punching through to waist on occasion.

    No bueno. Sorry Xover...

Hmmm...yes, this news blows. I guess it's spring, so i'm not surprised.

    We're still skiing tomorrow.

I'm up tomorrow regardless. I haven't skied in a garbage bag in a while. I might wear a Dallas Cowboys Starter jacket too, just to make skiing in the rain that much more enjoyable.

What really sucks is that I just got back from Seattle. I was not expecting to be stuck in the rain HERE too! (It was actually kinda nice in Seattle this week)

Xover, do you have a Starter jacket I can borrow, maybe some rear entry boots???

I was good for 8-10 inches+ at tremblant, and a full weekend of heavy snow at sugarloaf, just imagine what I could do to the west.

Yup, it's sunny and 60 here all week with high pressure for the weekend. Sounds more like Utah in the Spring- weird I just moved here from the 'Bird/park silly.

Really sucks about the rain at Alta. Especially 'cause that is the reliable storm moisture which normally drops a few feet during the first or second week of April every year. Friggin bummer- April storms are usually sweet, but as long as it stays above freezing tonight, could still be good tomorrow.
