Yeah, I did a search and I found some info, but Salomon has so many overlapping names and models between years that it's hard to keep track of each one. Anyway, thinking about picking up these sticks - they're $240 right now on backcountry.com's outlet, and I just got a 50% off coupon, so $120 seems pretty hard to beat for brand new boards.
I'm not a park guy at all, but my current quiver is lacking for skiing around home (DC). It's either Rossi XXX's (not very good on hardpack, duh), or Stockli Stormriders, which at 192 want to do one thing only - haul ass. Great if I'm out alone midweek, a nightmare on the weekend days w/ not-so-great-skiing friends (aka, non-mags).
The couple of reviews all seem to say that they're pretty stiff for park skis and hold an edge well, which I'm thinking would make them a good choice, since there's no way they're anywhere close to Stockli-level stiffness. The 180 length would be a bit more manageable on those slower-paced, teaching-stuff days, too.
Thoughts???
