    Rincon Today...

Today I remembered why working spitting distance from Rincon doesn't suck so bad. Nothing epic, but just made me stoked for winter, especially with the crisp, sunny, glassy day.

Thursday morning Dawn Patrol had me going by Rincon when it was just not quite light enough to the 'Con. I kept on going and saw Ventura Point working well. I surfed there.

Ha. No evidence yet of growth of a third nipple or eleventh toe. It looks like the project to get the septic tanks out has been stalled again, thanks to some homeowners down there.

The shit show of kooks on longboards I still think may be the biggest danger at Rincon.

Heh, oh yes Ventura point has that problem as well. Why I prefer the other breaks around that neck of the woods. The perfect wave isn't so perfect when a walrus keeps getting in the way

Yep. Rincon just happens to be often the most convenient for a lunch break sesh as my office is literally 1 minute away. Once there's some juicy winter swell, some of the other little fickle fun spots around here turn on and are far less of a shit show.

    I hate all you guys.

Anyone willing/able to sponsor a landlocked Canadian. Or you can just hide me in your basement.

A question for you Venturians? Is that the right term? I'm interested in Proctor's boards, specifically his epoxies. Does he have a good reputation in the area?

How do you like living spitting distance from Rincon?

I live in Isla Verde and I can't leave this godforsaken island quickly enough!

    ...oh wait...20 DAYS AND COUNTING.

Wait...I just saw the wetsuit and realized you are prolly not talking about the actual Rincon on PR's west shore.

    Enjoy Cali.
