06/07 K2 AK FR+ Mounting positin for AT
I have a pair of the 06/07 K2 Seth's for on-hill fun and some slack country. They're mounted at +2 and feel great.
I got some 06/07 K2 AK's (as seen here http://www.spadout.com/store.php?stpr_id=1482) with Freeride +'s for slack-country/back-country use. I'm looking for the elusive balance between float in pow, stability in crud, drop and huck big air, and being able to take-off or land the occasional air switch (I'm not really into switch powder 8's).
I'm wondering if I should just mount them at +2 (the same as my Seth's)?
Will the AK feel similar, in terms of precision and handling at the +2 (or similar as possible considering the AK is wider and a bit softer)?
At +2 the Seth's feel great in the pow, with a bit of tip dive when I'm tired. I was thinking if I mount the AK at +2 for AT the greater surface area and softer tip should give me more float than the Seth's.
Should I mount +1 or 0 to get more float and less tip dive, but less quickness through the trees/glades?
Suggestions?
Thanks
