    Skiing Av's

Would like to know what experiences you've had skiing in Avalanches.

    That's an odd question.

Do you mean getting caught in an avalanche? I have no experience with that, thank jahbuddahchristallah.

I don't recommend it unless you've got an air tight one piece Bogner. I couldn't control my speed and I'm still pissed off about the smashed up mixture of banana and peanut butter and jelly that ruined my brand new Jansport backpack.

one time at seven springs i skied through a pile of beer cans in the middle of a blue square trail. it was a scary because i almost lost my balance and would have surely abraded my stretch pants. the bus ride home that night would have been really embarassing if my pants were all scuffed up and stuff.

hopefully the ski safety patrol tracked down that scoundrel and put a warning notch in his/her ticket, or at least provided a refresher on common courtesy! debris of any kind on the slopes can be really dangerous, but that's obvious- right?

Interloper - you're right. Quite a few of us have been caught in avies and quite a few of us have lost close friends in them. It's rather a sensitive subject and people are often guarded in their response to such threads. If you'd given a little background as to why you wanted to know etc you probably wouldn't have elicited quite so many facetious responses nor would you have ended up patronising Tap quite so badly.
