    TR - Roundtop/Sisters Saddle Snowpatch, 10/07/07

    Date: October 7, 2007

    Location: Roundtop/Sisters saddle snowpatch

Weather: Warm in the sun, cooler in the shade with a breeze

    Participants: Harpo-the-skier, MJ, and Vets

Gameplan: October Pow, my 48th consecutive month skiing, and belated birthday turns.

    Duration: enough

Vertical: not sure, but not very much

    Beta: see pics or ask

    Pics: Harpo-the-skier and Vets

On the hike up we saw a literally cool frog in the snow:

Here I am sliding and then recovering in windslab over ice and rocks:

Not exactly the planned October pow.

Making some turns in windslab over ice and rocks:

    48th consecutive month skiing!

MJ watching Harpo-the-skier turn in windslab over ice and rocks:

MJ on his way to more turns:

Lake Tahoe can be seen in the distance.

    Bring on winter!

Yes - bring it on. Looks like a little more snow and that patch could become real fun. Nice work getting out on it early.

Nicely done. I like how the ol' patch up there makes it look like you're skiing some Euro glacier...

Nice Vets! You are one dedicated man....although, maybe if you'd hit it a couple days earlier you would have had fresh light powder over ice and rocks...
