Dynastar 8800 as a tele ski

my wife needs new teleboards and was looking at the G3 Baron, BD Lyric and k2 Dawn patrol all in 170cm. She currently has a pair of Dynastar 8800's that were used for alpine, but felt were too small for that in 168cm. My thougths are to mount up the 88's for her tele and buy some bigger alpine boards. Im getting some resistance most likely from the "I want to buy some new shit" dept, but I really think the 88's would work well for her as a tele set up. anyone care to comment or should I take it over to the hippy board?

They always want you not to buy stuff, until they need it.

Many have used the 8800 as a teleski, and almost all have liked it. Just plug the old holes and slap some telebinders on 'em. And then buy her some bigger alpines.

I have a pair mounted up tele, with R8's and I really like the set-up. They can carve big GS turn on groomers or make quick short radius turns if you want them too. I'd say mount them tele and get some new bigger Alpine boards, but I am impartial I just order a pair of Bro's for my Alpine set-up.

    You have tele bindings already?

I have some R8's that you can have cheap.
